Without quoting several posts, mixed sets just do it for me all around. Getting to choose particular chips that fit well in a set is as close as I will get in the foreseeable future to customizing my own old-school Paulsons or having some neat history. The hunt, while frustrating at times, adds a certain degree of character to the set itself. I can point to each of my chips and say who they came from, which I think is cool from a community aspect. I think relabels are great too, but obviously there are some chips you just cannot murder or label over. Once things are back to normal, getting these sets on the felt is going to feel great. Obviously, full casino sets are great but the ones I would want are basically unobtainable from a rarity and cost standpoint.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. "C" is way in the lead, but I will let the mail-in ballots come in. As is typical with PCF, this thread turns a potentially completed set into a hunt for roughly four racks of chips
(Discovery $1s and spotted yellows to make the top set into a completely custom relabel). Knew I could count on you all for that
.
