I have an afternoon & evening to burn tomorrow before catching a redeye flight. What's the best room near LAX? Just looking for some 1/3 action

Looks like Hollywood Park, Hawaii Gardens, Lucky Lady, Crystal Casino, Hustler are all possibilities.

Also, is a casino willing to store a full size piece of luggage for the day? I assume they would have a place but have never done this before.

Hollywood park is nice and closest. Hustler might be most interesting because of hustler live, and definitely has a lot of action but it’s a bit farther.

I know that Hollywood Park used to store a bag for you, as long as you join the loyalty club (which you can do right at the front desk). Had the same situation a number of years ago. It's basically just like a bellhop - they give you a ticket and store the bag. Pick it up on your way out.

Haven't been for a couple years, so don't know if they still do that, but they have in the past.

I liked their poker room - haven't played in any of the other ones you listed.

Hustler has 1/3 with buy in cap of 100. However, keep your belongings secure and please don’t forget there are a lot of ghetto scenes nearby. Frequent thefts, including someone had a wallet stolen at Hollywood Park and I got my bet stolen in front of a dealer at Lucky Lady (sister casino of Hustler, a few miles from Hustler). I called the security and the management and got back my bet... Seems like these kind of things are frequent.

As a local, please please be careful of your surroundings and belongings. Having a lot of luggages might attract attention to thieves. If possible, avoid after 10 pm. It’s a much dangerous place than Vegas Strip during midnight. There’s a reason all the security officers are armed in LA card rooms. However, there aren’t decent poker rooms other than LA card rooms near LAX, unless you head to Indian casinos that are 90 miles away.
