I’ve only been a member here for a short while, but have already made some friends and several purchases. Thought I’d update the forum with some pics of my poker room with some new additions.

I still have chips on the way from @Kenny_Dies and @Ainton, but the chips I bought from @coosfro and @Hotus777 were stateside, so they’ve already arrived. They look amazing guys and thanks from all my group who will enjoy them Friday night! This will be our first game on the new table, as well.

The old main table will now serve as a side table when I host bigger tournaments. While the room has a ways to go (and I’ll update as it progresses), it sure has come a long way over the past several weeks! What started with a custom logo for my FB page turned into a sign, which turned into artwork for the new table and I now have several other projects underway. A custom tournament set is underway to replace the Milanos, which have already been replaced by the guys I mentioned for cash games. I’m still working on some custom cabinets, my bar, lighting and building another folding table which will have the identical felt as the main table. The old main table will be recovered to match and I’ll be adding LED lighting and height to the rail. There’s more, but you get the idea.

Thanks for the help from those of you who have been helpful!

More to come!

Nice! You jump in feet first I see. You’re doing great. Cannot wait to see your next set of photos.

Nice job, your rooms looking great!!! I started cleaning out the basement for mine, placed an order for tourney and cash custom sets for the group June buy with Justin and added air shipping. Hopefully the room will be completed by August to start up. Still debating on Gorilla home table or Illuminati, leaning towards illuminati.

I did the Illuminati and am halfway through the wait time for delivery. It’s getting exciting in here.

Custom felt or you choose one of theirs, or just do plain casino felt with bet line? I was thinking all black casino felt with bright red bet line, So if
I buy a few custom toppers from PCF and if their cut a tiny bit short its only black underneath you'd see along the outter edge.

FWIW, I build my own tables with the exception of the new table. I wanted to see what the “pros” did differently and gather whatever info I could for future builds. The custom table I ordered is a BBO Lumen table. Overall, I’m quite pleased with how it turned out and the process was pretty pain free. Collette followed my instructions on the custom felt extremely well. And they were nice enough to give me a good price on additional felts for my secondary tables.

That BBO Lumen is a solid choice. I went for one of Gorilla’s gallery of cloths to get a betting line, love your whole setup!!

Awesome work! The Casablanca $100 is my favorite chip. Love the logo/sign too!
Thanks! I was especially pleased since it was my first ever design on such a thing. I've always farmed stuff like this out to someone with more creative juices, so I was kind of proud to be honest.

I like it and thanks for sharing! I have hosted games for over 20 years and have never had a dedicated poker room/space. Hoping to change that soon.

I used to use my entire basement as a poker hall, if you will, when it was unfinished. In 2005 I finished the basement and dedicated the majority of it to home theater, with stadium seating. However, in 20 years, I can count on one hand how many times I’ve filled the theater with friends and family. Usually the Super Bowls the past few years, as we are all die hard Chiefs fans (I live in MO). So, I decided since it’s usually just one row of chairs being occupied, I’d rather utilize that space for something more useful and poker has reclaimed the majority of my space, again. I’m much happier, as it’s filled at least once a week now. And my happiness isn’t dependent on the outcome of a football game. ; )

Wow, I love it!

You skipped the whole standard step of ”hey, guys, what’s the best 500 pc set with my weird breakdown preferences and $200 budget” and went straight to beast mode. Kudos sir!

I’m new to the forum, not new to poker. lol

I used to play every single day. In my twenties, while learning my actual business, I spent more time in cards rooms than my office. I hosted games 2-3 nights a week and tourneys with up to 50 players. But, as life will do, I got away from the game.

My interest has recently been revitalized for a couple major reasons. One, my son is a hell of a card player and it’s one of the few common interests we share. I’d do anything to get him to WANT to spend time with dad. He’s 14, so fancy stuff and neon lights help. I’m not too proud to stack that deck . The other key factor is I had successful back surgery last year. For the first time in over a decade I can sit and play for an 8+ hour session pain free. I couldn’t sit for 20 mins not that long ago.

So, I’ve gone all in on poker, again. Only difference between now and 20+ years ago is the size of my bankroll.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. I’m glad my interest landed me here.
