Hi,

I need to travel to Sacramento for business in a couple weeks- wondering about card room options in the area. Thanks!

I'm about an hour south of there so have never looked for poker rooms in Sacramento, but i know Thunder Valley Casino is just outside of town.

I don't know anything about it other than what's on the ChipGuide and that they have cool chips, but Stones Gambling Hall is just north of Sacramento. There's "The Saloon Poker Room" listed separately on the Chip Guide from "The Tavern Card Room." (I don't know if they are two separate buildings, or separate parts of the same building).

P.s. if you end up going there, I'd love to buy at least a barrel of a couple denoms.

Thunder Valley, Cache Creek, Capitol City Casino. The first 2 are outside of town and the third is in Sac.

They have (had) some good looking Paulson RHC chips listed in the ChipGuide, including a dark green 50c and an alternative $1 that is orange to go along with their standard blue color $1. (I'd be surprised if either the green or orange $1 are in circulation in any large quantity.). But there's another newer-looking plastic chip in the chip guide, too. The blue Paulson $1 would make a good frac for a set with white $1s.

Regardless of what their current chips are, please take a few chip pics and post here! Thanks.

Stones is a fantastic room, my favorite outside of Vegas, highly recommend it if you get a chance.
