Hello all,

I really enjoy playing poker as well as other games and have gotten into collecting poker chips. Not sets, just individual chips from different casinos.

What are some of the best cool and innovative display ideas you've seen or could recommend?

I've spent about five months figuring out how to create my own framable displays; I think rare and beautiful chips deserve something more custom than the shelves found at hobby stores (no disrespect to folks who like them).

Originally I was trying to work with framing and commercial printing vendors to produce my designs, but I found there were few who could even do 2 of the 3 things I needed (foam board cutting / printing / foiling). And then, the costs were ridiculous ($100+ for just one), with no guarantee they'd even turn out, since none of these vendors had produced what I was asking for before.

So I'm doing it myself using a couple pieces of equipment I'm learning on. I'm hoping to have my first prototypes in the next few months. Here's an example of what I'll probably try to make first - displaying my WSOP sample set:

When i finally get around to displaying my singles it will be in these. One thing to consider (especially if you have a rather large investment) is UV protection like these come with. The last thing I want is faded chips that have lost substantial value because of it.
