PCF Powerball Group - Round 3 - 12/24 (4 Viewers)

In. I have a question, though: Did we get nothing back at all from rounds 1 and 2, or am I missing something?
You should have received a PM today from Tommy about the rollover, with a pdf of the tickets. He took the $350 win from Round 2 and bought more tickets to share with the 125 members. The round 1 winnings were under $100 and donated to toys-for-tots.

Isn't that backwards?

i got PMs with the rollover tickets for both rounds. not sure why this is all so confusing for everyone.
I got those too...didn't open them. I thought based on the posts we did better on the first round. I honestly dont care. Donate all the winnings under a grand to Toys For Tots. People worried about pennies on their investment ain't for me.

It’s supposed to be .0045179 that I’m entitled to and I want that penny sliced in the right portion so I can get my share damn it!

If we had won in the first two rounds, those of us in Texas would have had to pay DE taxes. Now we (me, Craig, and any other Texans, or anybody else in a non-state income tax state) does not have to pay state tax. I was also thinking out of staters could avoid, but that was probably incorrect (hopeful) thinking.

Sorry. :(
No one will have to pay state taxes. The trust will cash the ticket in TX and pay federal taxes. At that point funds will be sent to 125 individual trusts with all taxes paid.

This is how I understand it working.

Also, if we win AND don't have to split it AND actually have 125 total trusts to pay out to, we all only get about $3.7 million after taxes. I don't even know if I want to win now!

p.s. My wife is already spending half of that 3.7 million on Hello Kitty stuff and I'm gonna get those Asian Triplets I wanted plus lifts for my shoes

Show your math. Highest tax rate is 37%. I get something north of $4.5MM each.

I'm sure I forgot something important.
