Overpaying? In what world does thread crapping prevent someone from over paying? If someone within the community wants to buy something wouldn’t that determine the market. The problem is that only the tight knit community is only allowed to make money. Welcome change!

If you come in trying to sell a bunch of Paulsons at $6 per chip but the community feels the true value is $2, the community should have the right to warn other users, as much as you are allowed to list that chip for 3x more than what the community values them at.

The math is probably off but I would guess he is talking about a rack of oversized inlay fracs worth $25 being sold for $600.

I would say that posts like these are an indicator of why you are getting the "feelings" that you are. You are literally in here taunting folks, then complaining that you are not being welcomed with open arms. The vast majority of community members are here to talk about chips, oogle chips, meet other chips collectors, talk poker, and most of us end up making relationships first, and maybe also selling a few chips, maybe sometimes at a profit, but quite often not at a profit at all. There are some people who are here primarily to make a profit, but most of them are vendors. And the successful ones aren't making waves like this. They may be profiting, but they are also perceived as being fair in their pricing.

You can't come in here clearly attempting to make a profit selling chips, taunting respected members who have been here for years, and then turn around and say you don't feel welcome because others think you are only interested in making money. It's one or the other. You either want to be a part of the community, or you want to be a business person. You can't be offended that people aren't welcoming when the perception is that you have no real interest in being a community member. The perception is that you are just here to make money.

Answer this question. Why does a select group of people here think they can educate the rest of the community on what “market” is for certain chips. Markets are always changing. Educating the community without historical sales etc is not education that is strictly their opinion. Why is it so hard to understand the difference??
