The ban on cigars (and rum) from Cuba ends Monday. I wonder how long it will take for an import company to get permission to bring real Cuban cigars into the U.S. for sale and shipping

I've been ordering online for several years now, at risk of them being seized in customs. Thankfully, I have not had that problem. Now I will be able to order without fear (y)

Edit - the vendors I use do guarantee the shipments, so if one was to be seized they would reship at no cost.

I *think* the restrictions are only lifted for personal use, e.g. when travelers come back from Cuba the $100 declaration limit has been lifted. If that's the case, that would mean folks have to fly there (damn, that sux...how ever would they find someone to do that?), buy a box or ten, and fly them back in their suitcases. I think the limitation on general overseas commerce is still in place if I'm understanding correctly, so it's not like the flood gates have completely burst open yet. That being said, this should make their acquisition easier and the prices lower, and I suspect its only a matter of time before full trade relations are restored between the two nations.

100 cigars is the duty free limit. And it appears you are correct, several sources state you must be present to buy them. Ah well, all in good time!

Played in a golf tournament sponsored by a local cigar shop, reps on every hole handing out cigars. Got home with over 40 cigars in a large
humidor bag. Haven't gone through them yet, but I did smoke a H upmann 1844 reserve, nice smooth smoke.

Getting closer to the time of year when the A Fuente Anejos will be released!!!

Damn, I would love a specific meet up that focused on just cigars and poker.

That would be perfect to me.
I could host an abbreviated weekend herf and poker meet up. It would likely have to be Friday to Sunday only. Wonder how many we could get?

In honor of @CraigT78 . Enjoying one of his Cubans this fine Sunday morning.

Partagus-Havana Serie D No.4

Thanks again my friend. Excellent (y)
