It’s reliably indicating Paulson, so if false positive I’m guessing it’s detecting something that’s strongly correlated with the presence of lead and Paulson just happens to use it in their formulation as well.
But I’m wondering if there are any chemists that can help out!

I'm an organic chemist. I don't have much experience with lead, but I was working with it in large quantities for a reaction I was doing a couple years back. I needed to have a safety control for my risk assessment, and I was recommended D-Lead as a test kit by the safety officer because apparently there were no other options on the market/everything else was poor. I'm also not too convinced with how the cotton swab works as a one-step process.
That being said, if anyone has more experience I'm happy to be corrected.
