Please post the pr0n. I don't have a nice camera and I'm sure people want to see. Thanks for the offer to wait though.

It may be difficult to make out the texture of the yellow $1000 chip from the pictures, but it is mother of pearl. Looks a lot better in person than just a solid yellow ring in the pictures.

I like those. Just noticed the there is a mold impression as well. It's like a chip and a plaque got together to make another chip.
That's a pretty fair assessment. While they look cool, I'm not a fan of the feel. Mine will be a great card protector in its air tite. I wouldn't want a set.

Yeah was wondering about the feel while shuffling. They sure look different. Anyone weigh them on a postal scale?

I could see them as a high-end only chip. An alternative to the plaque or oversized chip. I am very envious.

I'll take the full clay face with edge spots every day of the week. If you like th European Jeton plastics you will like these, clay chip people not so much.

But if they were available in 50mm they would make awesome dealer buttons. The lace effect is really cool against the gold background on my chip.

Yea, methinks perhaps you don’t like giant inlays as well. The point of the décor ring is to have that ring of space available to exhibit the gold lace security feature, so by its nature it would have to cover the edge spots like a giant inlay would.

These chips certainly would not be done as poker chip sets, unless you’re absolutely loaded and want to pay up the nose. These are meant for high denomination chips. Unfortunately, it costs way more to collect actual ones from casinos because… they’re high denom chips.

I wonder what’s behind the inlay on these chips though, more plaque material & gold lace, or just clay?

I also wonder if it’s possible to peel the inlay and make a personal chip, like this one… (not mine)

Great looking chips - sample set ?

Yes if you look at the GPI advertisement post here, this Premium décor ring series is a 4-chip sample set.

So I got a bunch of messages with interest for these beauties. My plan is to keep 10 sets and sell 10 sets. Some are already spoken for, but if anyone wants a set, PM me and I’ll add you to the list (I will be away until will return 3rd week of Nov.).

Sounds like a job for the HPT video chip review guy with the pliers.

"Dibs" ;) if you have a set to spare, I'll PM ya, thanks!

Edit : Dibs withdrawn, I am a poor man these days, and while awesome, the coolness to me is < $$cost$$.

/jealous :(

I just made a stab at it but honestly was stunned I won the auction. I will keep this for a long time but hope against the odds that we would all have a chance at getting some of these made in the future.

I was looking through some eBay auctions and it looks like you got that G2E chip at a steal... The next auction for the same chip sold for $99.99 on eBay.

Yes, those are B&G jetons like the Paris LV jetons shown on the first page of this thread, except these have some beautiful center lunettes.

GPI came out with J3 jetons with edge spots either last year or this year which is supposed to mimic the "American"-style chips.

8.4g - that's a lightweight chip. Although I love the look, I have might concerns about the feel (though buying them by the rack is clearly out of the question).
