paulson chip question (1 Viewer)

No pics handy but cancelled Argosy $5's and Good Luck Club (fantasy) $5's are identical.
The Argosy chips were rejected by the Indiana gaming board (wrong casino name), cancelled, and replaced. Never used.

These are pretty darn close:

Couple of things. First they're on a different mold, so even if the spot patterns and colors were identical, they'd still be unique.
Second, I'm not sure i the unique spot guarantee is enforced on $1 chips. Maybe it is; I dunno. But who would care?

the golden eagle 5s are the exact same as the Irish mike 5s except the inlays.

As mentioned before though, neither are actually casino chips.

the Hinkleys is a good one, i never noticed that they were exact to the flvs before.

Different mold makes no difference. A casino can use their same color/spot combo on a thc, rhc, and house mold (and some places have done just that). Nobody else can use that exact color/spot combo.

Interested in how the discussion went when they worked with The Venetian and The Palazzo. Two different casinos/hotels, but they have same owner and even are technically physically connected. If memory serves me right, they share the same color/spot combo on the $1s, although the inlays are obviously different.

I'm sure they make an exception for properties on the same physical location and owned/operated by the same corporation. Harrah's and Harveys in Lake Tahoe for example.

^^ this. I'd guess that all chip orders are place from the corporate office, regardless of which specific venue the chips are for.

Oh for sure, just find it interesting since this isn't something I would have even thought about a few months ago before I was here and more into chip history, despite staying at those very hotels a year ago.
