PAHWM: Live 10/20 PLO4 from the BB (23 Viewers)

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Such is the predicament on the river when facing a big bet without the best overfull.

Hero doesn't block any of the better boats, while Mr. Splashy Pro can easily have JJ with a queen blocker. I do not expect Hero to be awarded the pot if he calls.

Call.

PLO is fun. Let the variance wash over you.
Based on the reads and as played, I decided that I'm at the top of range other than the occasional slow-played JJ or 33. I also think that villain will have a lot of creative bluffs and let's just say he's probably drunk.

Hero (BB) has been dealt :as: :9s: :9h::th:

Pot: $1600

Flop: :js: :9d::3c: Turn: :qs: River :3s:

SB bets $1500
Hero calls

SB laughs, checks his cards, shakes his head, and says the magical words..

"You're good.", and promptly mucks his cards face down to the dealer before I have a chance to show my hand. It's a friendly-ish game, so I briefly show my 99 before I scoop the almost 5k pot.

Now, here's a fun rabbit hunt.. After the game breaks almost an hour later, Villain would tell me what he bluffed me with.. What do you guys think he said he had? Did I make the maximum by letting him bluff off or did I miss value on the flop and turn?

Hmmm K-Q-J-X with the King of spades?
