Let's take a different approach with this one, you get to play a hand against me. Hero is a reasonable LAG that likes to apply pressure post flop. I am in the BB, my image is prolly that of a straightforward TAG, possibly on the tight side of the spectrum pre, but may switch gears and play a bit tricky sometimes.

SB: €33.53 (167.7 bb)
mipevi (BB): €32.69 (163.5 bb)
Hero (CO): €19.19 (96 bb)
BTN: €26.93 (134.6 bb)

SB posts €0.10, mipevi posts BB €0.20

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.30) Hero has :5h::4c::6d::3h:

Action is on hero. WWLAGD and do you agree? :cool

If I'm the hero I'm folding so that playing this hand doesn't take two days  :ROFLMAO:

For me, this is a fold. In a four handed game the winners have a lot of two pair / set sorts of hands. This hand might prove to be a surprise at showdown, but it will take a very specific low/lower/lowest sort of flop.

A LAG is never open limping. Raise pot or fold. I guess there are quite a lot of worse hands, so the LAG pots.

Still a fold to me though as I don't identify as a LAG -=- DrStrange

Hero does indeed decide to pot, very LAG of him and gets called by the blinds. I might steal with a hand like this from the CO with favorable player types in the BTN and the blinds, but that rundown is getting pretty low.

SB: €33.53 (167.7 bb)
mipevi (BB): €32.69 (163.5 bb)
Hero (CO): €19.19 (96 bb)
BTN: €26.93 (134.6 bb)

SB posts €0.10, mipevi posts BB €0.20

Pre Flop: (pot: €0.30) Hero has :5h::4c::6d::3h:
Hero raises to €0.70
BTN folds
SB calls €0.60
mipevi calls €0.50

Flop: (€2.10, 3 players) :4s::9h::7c:
SB checks
mipevi checks

Action is on hero. One of the better flops for his hand. Most of hero's straight outs aren't to the nuts, but that's easier to play in position. Time to punish the blinds for calling, right? :D

It seems like I lost a lot of money with this type of hand long ago. I just toss them now.

It is a dry board in terms of flushes. The sets are play. A larger wrap is also a possibility. Its exactly this sort of situation that had DrChicken folding preflop - the flop is good and even so, Hero could be in dire trouble.

But now we are here, this is almost a forced bet. Even for DrStrange AKA DrChicken. It would be a bet/fold though.

LAGs, well of course they bet here. Position and a legitimate fit for the preflop hand. A flop that misses most Broadway type hands. Seems like a solid place for an aggressive c-bet no matter Hero's holdings.

I will suggest if this is a skilled LAG that they know when to duck (sometimes). Hero is barely ahead of a hand like :as::qs::qd::jc: - just an over-pair plus back door draws. If one of the TAGs goes for a check raise, I'd have to worry he has a lot more than one pair and runner-runner hopes.

Pot flop. Fold to a check-rise. Revaluate on the turn -=- DrStrange

I don't like it. Hero is holding one of his own outs to get there. Check.

The blinds checking does not scare our hero, as he goes ahead and cbets.

SB: €33.53 (167.7 bb)
mipevi (BB): €32.69 (163.5 bb)
Hero (CO): €19.19 (96 bb)

mipevi calls €0.50

Flop: (€2.10, 3 players) :4s::9h::7c:

mipevi checks
Hero bets €1.57
SB folds
mipevi calls €1.57

Turn: (€5.24, 2 players) :2h:

That turn card didn't change the board dynamic much, and hero picked up additional outs. He is now a slight favorite against a naked top set like :9s::9d::qd::qs:, though not doing that great if I'm holding hearts with a better made hand like:9d::th::jh::ks: (hero would have 30% equity). With €16.92 effective left, is it time to barrel and really put the pressure on?

Check/fold still. Holding another one of their own outs to a straight. I guess they pick up a heart draw but whatever.

Hero has to decide if villain was floating the flop bet with little more than a pair or if villain has solid value.

Will villain fold a float to a second barrel? What sort of "dangerous" hands could Hero actually have? Hero is mostly representing "I am a LAG" in my opinion.

I would check behind for myself. I would also check behind as the LAG Hero. Hero's story is pretty thin. Let's see how the turn comes in and reconsider.

Hero likes to apply pressure, so he goes ahead and barrels the turn. To be fair, he should get some folds from hands with decent or even good equity against hero's actual holding, and he is basically repping top2+. But here I was trapping and able get stacks in. Hero's call is trivial, given the amount of outs he has against my range.

Hero got a bit unlucky here, with me holding better hearts and taking both rivers. :bigbucks:
