Ore-Ida made these for some promotion back in the day. They ended up in a storage unit owned by the Idaho City Community Club.

I was lucky to get the seller to ship em. They are in the ChipGuide but not the CSQ chips. I was only able to get around 90 of them.

The 1,200 other chips, all $25’s & $100’s are in the MD-33/24 Suits mold. Weighing in around 7 grams.

Oh yeah a rack and a half of dumb, red plastic $500 chips.

Neat chips!

Looks like the spots are painted on, rather than being inserts. Try a soak in hydrogen peroxide and see if they’ll scrub off.

Hell of a limit set!

Only caution is magic eraser also might remove the some clay and the texture too. Chemical bath might protect that?
Just about to ask what’s the best way to get them off.

And yeah it did smooth out part of the center of the chip. Not a big deal though cuz I’m gonna re-stamp them with a giant penis the VFW logo or something else that’s cool.

Test simple green on the stamps IF you want to remove them. I've had great success with that method.
What did you do with the simple green? I got no results when spraying it on the chip. Do I leave it for a long time or soak the chip?

Cold stamps are usually ink...these look like foil.

@SuckoutKing knows something about stamping. Maybe he can answer.
Cold foil "stamping" uses an adhesive, while hot foil stamping uses pressure and heat to secure the foil.
I believe the current process at CPC uses cold foil as well, that's why the stamps are not quite as recessed, or permanent.

The stamps come off with a few swipes of the magic eraser and some soapy water. These are cold stamps correct? I’ve seen @WedgeRock mention it before. There’s no impression.

And now I think I need a hot stamp machine.

Those are definitely not hot stamped. Never seen those chips before? Not even sure you could apply a hot stamp to them? Depends on the material or the chip and its bonding characteristics. There are some plastic chips that were so hard I couldn't even get the foil to stick to the chips.

My first guess was some sort of plastic mix. They remind me of the Goose Lake THC chips that were molded in plastic.

I think that I’m gonna mill a bunch of these. The ones I’ve milled made a dust instead of the ribbons you see with clay.

The only way I’ve found to clean the stamp takes a magic eraser and lot of elbow grease. Took about 3 mins a chip. No cleaning agents have done anything to this stamp.
