I can run another one, provided we can find a competent reshipper -- @Tommy leaves some big shoes to fill.

We'll also need to look at per-chip minimums, and whether or not offering blanks and separate labels makes sense with smaller order numbers.

Would prefer to skip sample sets next time, however. If an enterprising member wants to purchase 25 chips of each denom and offer sample sets in the classifieds (or as a separate group buy), that's okay by me.

I agree in not offering sample sets. Tommy mentioned shipping labels was very time consuming and recommended not offering this option for future GBs. It took him 7 hours just to cut and sort the labels. If separate labels are needed, then maybe it makes sense to have two shippers, one for the chips and one for the labels. Just brainstorming at this point, if we get volunteers then we can start a new thread.

I hear ya. I just got 25 blanks to put together a seating chip set. Now that I have seen, felt and shuffled them, I really wish I would have at least gone with a 300-400 single table cash game set.

Received my package today. I haven't gone through the labels yet to verify the counts, but the sample sets and buttons arrived ok.

A few thoughts...
1) I suspect Tommy learned the art of packing by working in a place that made these.

It took a while to get through the layers.

2) The edge to face alignment is excellent.

3) Feel-wise, I don't know if I prefer them over a 39mm chip. They are definitely unique.

4) In checking the T25 and the T500 in my office light, I can barely distinguish them when together in a stack of chips. At 3-4ft, I honestly do not know if I could tell them apart from the edge if there was a T500 in a stack of T25's or vice-versa. If you have any red/green colour issues, be warned that these two chips may cause dirty stacks. They would for me, anyways.

Overall...very impressed.

We got home from our cruise around 1:30 this afternoon, and found the 43mm racks sitting by our front door. About fifteen minutes later, our mailman pulled up with our held mail for the week, including two hefty, impenetrable TommyBoxes (tm).

Very nice! My wife, who almost never notices chips (it's that "saint" thing, you know?) commented on the chips and the glossy edges. The $5s are far and away both our favorites. And the elegant simplicity of the labels makes even chips of colors that I don't particularly like look terrific.

Ugg, Mine aren't due to arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm still scared that the Grey/Red T1000k chips that I'm using for $1, will be too close to the $5 cash chip. Anyone have side by side stacks of these together?

The absolute minimum for shipping to Germany via USPS plus extra time spent at the customs and sending notifications is two weeks, often three weeks or longer. My boxes were shipped August 6th, so it's extremely unlikely that I'll have these before August 20th. A more realistic guess would be somtime around August 27th.

I used the red/grey T1000 as my $1 also, but paired them with yellow 5’s. I wasn’t too excited about the red 5’s. Here’s a couple pics.

Just my personal opinion, but I'd give it a little bit of time (few months maybe?) before kicking off another GB round. Probably have more interest that way once more people see these in play and also realize what their sets are lacking.

I may be in for a small set when that happens.

Depends on whether the goal is to make this a huge undertaking, or just something for those who’ve already been following the thread? I’m ok with whichever, and yes, probably will buy more if there’s some additional time to raise capital. I’m fine with whatever.

I don’t mind a diff design, but it creates several issues. One, it sucks for those wanting to add on to existing orders, and it creates more time/cost with an additional artwork factored in.

My vote would be to keep the existing design to keep it simple.

Of course! A different design wouldn't be a "part 2" of anything, it would simply be a new group-buy.

Looking at how well-liked the 43mm Sun-Fly hybrids are there will surely be enough group-buys in the future, using many different designs.
