I was there earlier this week and took another crack at it. Had a lengthy conversation with the high limit pit boss around 6 or 7am. She assured me that all chips are kept in the main cage (i.e. there is no high limit vault). I want a rack of these $20s, and I was up front with her on why I wanted them & what I was going to do with them. She spent about 5-10min talking to her manager and called over to the main cage on my behalf. Supervisor on duty in the cage told her they were shipped off a while ago & are no longer on the premises. I then walked over to talk to the cage supervisor in person, introduced myself & told her I was the guy inquiring about the $20s. She was adamant that she did not have any there. Do I believe her?....yes. She could have said they have them, but it was against company policy or NV Gaming Comm Regs to sell them. I kind of wish she would have, then at least there'd be some hope. The high limit pit boss really went out of her way for me. I felt like I got great customer service from her. Tried to tip her, but she said she wasn't allowed to accept.
Side note: While talking to main cage supervisor, I asked about new/mint $1s & she said the most she'd let me have is 20 & at most 2 $5s. I got the 20 $1s & came back the next day asking to trade a barrel of used $1s for new. Thought it might be easier with a technicality of exchange $1s vs buying $1s from the cage. Cashier had to check & he was told to tell me this was the last time. If you can get more than 20-40 brand new $1s out of Paris, you are a magician.
