Today we talk about some of the most insane TR King Co Casino Chips sets that are out there. As you know I love TRK and many do. The chips, the company & everything. They are amazing chips and I wish I had known about them earlier. The chips have gotten really popular over the last year and I don't think they are going to be forgotten. Small Crown will be superior to Large Crown, but I do believe Large Crowns are underestimated. So, in this video we look over some sets that were built back in 2013-2014 area with some Nevada Club, Home Game Chips, Red Room, Kings Crown, Money Tree, Mapes and more! Buckle up and get ready, this is a good one!

If you have any memorable sets that come to mind let us know and let's share!

Hi Oscar!

As always, another great video with lots of information and cool chips! Just wanted to give you a bit more clarity on the Red Rooms. They were actually customs and not a home game chip. If memory serves, they were the last customs that Dennis made. I'm not sure how many were made but I asked the original owner that last October but haven't heard back yet. It looks like he hasn't been online since November, hope he's OK. I'm the 4th custodian of these amazing chips and they sound as good as they look.

Keep the videos coming!

Okay that's what I was thinking, but I wasn't 100% sure. They are amazing and such an amazing set.
Is that the same with the Deadwood chips then or were they made for home sets? @PAZ

Today we talk about the new casino chips that Golden Nugget has pushed out. They seem to be ICON ceramic chips similar to those that are being used at The Pass casino in Henderson currently. Thy have moved away from the standard GPI/Paulson casino chips that they have used for so long and it's interesting to see this change. There are probably some reasons for this change. I'm not sure what those could be, but I did mention possibly revenues not being as good as they wanted last year. Not too sure though. Hope you enjoy and I will see you guys in the next one!

Today we talk about what I think has to be the HOTTEST $1 Nevada casino chip right now. These are from the Hard Rock Casino in Lake Tahoe and I've got to say that they are giving me some retro vibes. I haven't something this nice in sooooo long, the 8V edge spots, the blue and yellow with white combination, added with the GOLD HOT STAMP just seals the deal! I've got to say I need some more of these..... A barrel or a rack incoming soon..... possibly! Enjoy!

Aside from casino history being a major part in the history of Las Vegas and Nevada there is something that I'm sure most people didn't know about. Today we are talking about the atomic testing that took place from the 50s up until the early 90s that used to happen just 65 miles from Fremont St. I didn't know about this information until I learned about it last week in class. These tests were originally done above ground until 1963 when the Limited Test Ban Treaty was passed. Over 900 atomic tests were conducted on Nevada federal land and a majority of them just under 100 miles away from Las Vegas. Las Vegas did very well with this atomic culture and thrived. Creating tours that took visitors up close to the tests for them to view them and see what would happen. Visitors would also be able to see the mushroom clouds from downtown during the early mornings hours or in the middle of the day. Enjoy!

If you guys have any chips or memorabilia with atomic testing on it, share it! I'd love to see what kinds of things they had created back in the day.

Today we talk about the recent El Rancho Vegas chip hoard that was posted on eBay. 72 of the red $25 small crown chips were sold for $1500! That is about $21 per chip which is a pretty good deal considering that they have sold for around the $125-150ish area for a long time. In the past year or so they have started to sell for somewhere around $60-80 if I remember correctly. Then we talk briefly about the Black Gold $25 rack or partial rack that was discovered in April of this year. That chip used to go for somewhere over $200 which is could possibly still do, but I believe the price or value may have dropped slightly since that was discovered. This is what happens when things come out in quantity and aren't kept on the low. Prices can go either way and sometimes it is good, sometimes it is bad. You never know what will happen with things like this! Enjoy!

Today I talk about building my 1st ever Paulson set. I am just starting it so I don't have too much going, but I wanted to get something started. Even with the quantity of chips I have so far being (50) 50 Cent chips, (0) 50 Cent chips, (0) $1 Chips & (100) $5 chips it is a start. I've noticed that I'm struggling to figure out what chips I'd like to try and find and I think I'm being too picky about these things. Although it is what my mind wants me to think, maybe I should mess around with different ideas, get somethings first and then start to finalize the set. I would really love to get a set done a built correctly the first go around. So, I have the Rivers 25 cent chips, I was thinking possibly Silver Star 50 centers, Hard Rock Lake Tahoe $1s possibly.... and Sundance $5s which seems doable. It would be a mixture of house mold and H&C/RHC and a mix of hot stamp and inlays which I wouldn't mind at all. Let me know your thoughts and if you guys have any suggestions!

Today we talk about the Silver Star Casino which was a pretty small place here in Las Vegas, downtown to be exact. Both times it tried opening it didn't even last a full year before it closed down. It had links to Benny Binion and originally opened as a slot-only casino without a gaming license. Many of you guys here on PCF have recently been getting these chips and many already had some. It amazing to see everyone want to build a set of them and even having them in mixed sets is nice to see. Thank you to those who sent me pictures to use as well, they were amazing! Calling all Silver Star owners to watch this video if they don't know the history and thanks to @Spinettis Gaming for having a blog post about this a while back. Otherwise finding any information on this small place was pretty hard. Hope you guys enjoy!

Very nice video !

I also use them in a mixed set :

So I thought about the thread thing and what you guys said, maybe this will work. I can post my videos in this thread so that way they are all in one place and post updates about cool things that I find or get! Hopefully you guys have enjoyed all the videos I've been making and there's no stopping as of right now. This week is Christmas so I hope you guys have been staying safe and healthy as we approach it.

Today's video is about the Vegas World, a place that I don't think many people know about but it is seen as a Vegas landmark in my eyes. It was Stupak's dream to have his own casino and he was a well known gambler which helped bring some of the biggest players to the Vegas World. As many of you know the Tournament chips from the 1980s are awesome and I even found photos of Stupak, Ungar and Chan playing with them. Enjoy the video and let me know what you thought about it! Thanks again for all the support guys, it truly means a lot!

Today we are talking about a historic time capsule from the Stardust that was buried in 1961. I learned about this in class this week when we were talking about the mob era in Vegas and the introduction of the strip etc. Professor Turk showed this picture and it caught my attention big time because I haven't ever seen this picture and had no idea that this was something that has been done. So, I looked into it, found this one as well as another one from the Stardust that was buried in 2003. Then, there are two other ones that were buried in 2005 in the Centennial Plaza downtown. With this information and what I have read these capsules will be found and brought back to the surface 100 years after they have been buried. Meaning that the original Stardust will come up in 2061 which I really want to see if I have the chance, I'll do anything!! The 2nd Stardust capsule will be unearthed in 2103 and the two in downtown will be 2105 which is far away, but I hope those that have the opportunity to see it document it and share it with the world. Make sure that people see what things were around in the early 2000s and how things have changed to current day. What performers wore or what type of technology was around. Things like that is what I would really be interested in. This is an interesting one so I hope you all enjoy!

This would make a nice lineup! Love the sundance $5s too. Classy

Today we talk about the El Morocco Club and New El Morocco Club that was located in Las Vegas from the years of 1945 up until 1964. It was located on the old westside of Las Vegas which back in the day was known more for being the area for people of color. They were not allowed in the casinos on the strip or in downtown so they went ahead and set up their own casinos and clubs. Which made that area of town very popular and it gave them an area to gamble, enjoy some entertainment and enjoy their time. At the El Morocco club sometimes Louis Armstrong, Sammy Davis Jr & Frank Sinatra would go to play music or just to have a good time. The club did very well up until 1955, but closed. The building was sitting for two years abandoned and getting vandalized so the city condemned the building and razed it. The New El Morocco opened in 1957 and it would run until 1964. I've always loved learning about the history of the old westside and still of course want to learn more and teach others about it. I feel like it is a piece of Vegas history that most people don't think about.

Hope you all enjoyed this video and if you have any memories, know of any stories or have anything from the El Morocco feel free to share!

Today I quickly talk about the things that I'm looking for at the next chip show that is happening in February. It will be at the Gold Coast and this is the usual show that happens at the Arizona Charlies during Super Bowl weekend. I'm not exactly sure what the date or dates are, but I'm sure someone can let others know on TheChipBoard or in the Facebook group. I'll most likely see you guys there and hoping to have a good time, meet some new people, share the hobby and buy some things for my collection! Hope to see you there and have a great Thanksgiving!

Today we quickly talk about how the Oakland A's baseball team could be coming to Las Vegas following the Raiders. This could be another step for Vegas to become one of the world's leading sports destinations too. Bringing another sport to add onto our list of every growing sports and bringing a new exciting thing to the strip. The land that this might be built on is next to the Tropicana and across the street from the Luxor. A $1 billion ballpark is being thought about and a bid was said to have been put in a few days ago. Only time will tell if this goes through and if it does I'm sure we will see this in the very near future.

Today we quickly talk about how casinos chips aren't going anywhere soon. It is such a good part of the casino experience and people are so used to playing at tables with chips. Whether that is betting with chips, coloring up seeing big denomination chips or just collecting them! People love chips in every aspect and I've never heard someone not like chips, unless it is a certain manufacturer. Collectors will continue to collect chips for years to come and even with crypto I'm sure chips will be apart of casinos for the next 10-15 years! Hope you enjoy!

Today we quickly discuss about another hoard that has been released or shown onto the internet. We've recently talked about the El Rancho red $25 Small Crown chip (80 or so of them) being listed on eBay that did end up selling and then a few shortly after for $40 or so a piece. This time its the Royal Nevada $25 RECTL mold chips. A rack of 100 of them has been listed onto eBay for $9000. That's quite a lot of money for them and would basically make them $90 per chip. Which wouldn't end up selling and I believe now that these chips are out there in such quantity they would be worth somewhere around $30-40 somewhere around there. Especially if you were going to buy this amount considering quantity usually drops prices because it makes them less "rare". Although, it could go either way. Just wanted to share this with you guys so you can see what is happening in the chip market and what kind of chips are being released! Hope you enjoy!

Today I share with you my TOP 5 favorite chips that I have in my collection. Although, I've only been collecting for just around 2 years now I have found some amazing chips and I am very very happy with the collection that I have. I also haven't gone the I guess we could say the traditional route of attaining chips by going to casinos myself. I've mainly bought off eBay, in person from others, PCF and other sites so it's been interesting getting packages in the mail and my parents saying "another one??!" haha! I love this stuff and it makes me happy so that is the main thing! Enjoy this and let me know which one is your favorite! See you in the next one!

Today we talk about these insane looking Royal Princess Casino chips that have recently surfaced from who knows where... Some of the most insane looking colors on casino chips I've seen along with Sunset Beach, Empress Star, Chicken Coop and a few others. I believe these were some how ordered through Paulson with a "gaming license" and were never for an actual place. So, basically ordered, maybe played with once or twice and then put into storage for the next 15-20 years. That's my guess, but that could be completely wrong. I wanted to show them to you guys and get your thoughts on them because they are real Paulson, not overlabeled or murdered chips. Possibly get them added to the ChipGuide here very soon as well. Hope you enjoy!

I won’t be mean, but I don’t think these are from 20 years ago.
No worries. If they were created just recently, I wasn't sure that Paulson/GPI was still creating chips like this so it's new info to me. I was trying to read through the thread and another thread to figure out what the story behind them was and figured they had been made years ago.

I like you and you videos but think you should really read the thread again.

Not trying to sound like a dick at all but it’s pretty much been spelled out. Don’t see how anyone at this point could think these were in a casino vault somewhere

Okay, read through it again. Completely missed out on that information. Now I fully understand that story behind all these BTP, Empress Star, Sunset Beach and the Royal Princess sets.

I don't take things personally. I want to learn the history behind this stuff and I guess I haven't fully taken a deep dive into this stuff. Now, I understand how those chips got created and so on. You learn something new everyday and that's what I did today, so no problem.
