Warning: Ben Post Ahead
TLDR: Birthday games, donated a bunch of money, Bob-omb! Fawesome time!
My birthday is in July and years past, I would host a 3-4 table tournament followed by cash games. I would designate the tournament as a Charity tournament and usually take 20% to donate to a rotation of charities that I support. Last year we made $1500 donated to a local poker dealer that simultaneously had both his wife and 2 year old son going through cancer treatment. (Thankfully they are recovering.)
Fast forward to this year and we are downsizing so tables and chairs have been donated to local hosts. I decided on 3 days of 1 table games - Deepstack PLO/HE Cash, Limit Dealer’s Choice and single table SitnGos with Derailment/Scarney bombs in the Cigar Lounge. I still wanted a charity donation so I decided to donate all my profits from the 3 days to this years charity…Wounded Warrior Project.
Here’s some pron and results in the end.

I had a good 1st day at Deep Stack raising close to $500 to donate. But cards slowed down at Dealer’s Choice and SitnGos. Made a little bit in the bomb pots and generous PCFers and locals helped out. So all in all, we didn’t beat last years record but raised a respectable $1440 to donate. And I got my own Bob-omb with lights and sound to boot. Someone even brought Godzilla party favors to use as card cappers. The last time there was party favors at my birthday must’ve been decades ago.
Thank you
@Vinyard @Big Money @triton @sethwanab @Monaco @TheRealTeddyKGB @Nick @Dread_Pirate_Roberts and all the locals that made it happen and made my birthday fawesome!!
