Sadly, not anymore beauty through simplicity, like, e.g., in Casino Nacional de Cuba or the Bee or whatever the hell it was called.

It was a very tight race, but I am pleased to announce the PCF Custom Chip Set Hall of Fame class of 2025:
Congratulations to this year's inductees!

Congratulations to all that were nominated this year. Thank you for sharing your personal creations with the community and allowing us all to celebrate them. Thank you to the HoF committee members - @MarquetteMonkey @cpac54 @krafticus @Josh Kifer and @Rieguy - for all of your time and dedication to the process this year. Members committed significant amounts of personal time to diligently and thoroughly discuss the many great sets of PCF to get it down to the well deserving sets that were nominated this year.

And finally, thanks again to all who voted this year. On to 2026!

But in all seriousness, completely joking. Both entries absolutely deserve the spots, well done, and also huge congrats to everyone else as well with nominations! Lovely sets all around.

City of dawn is an awesome example of vibrant colors done well, which is hard with CPC and also staying cohesive as a set. The Hoser Huts colors are great for sure, but what sets them apart for me is the black inlay.. super hard to do black inlays well (especially with color elements), and really well done there too and no surprise with J5's involvement.

Congrats!

Judging from the number of votes, it concerns ever fewer people each year.
About the same amount of voting as the previous year, but I agrees, it does seem difficult to give the HoF vote better visibility. I mean, just in the past 24hr there have been over 900 active members on PCF, so the potential is there.

I think increasing visibility will certainly be something the committee can look at for next year. Custom sets really is the pinnacle of this little hobby imo.

It would be nice if it was pinned at the top of new posts for period of time. I love seeing everyone’s custom sets and reading about the inspiration. Definitely one of my favorite things to look at on here.

To be honest I didn't realize this was the final vote. I thought it was a pre-vote due to the number of sets. I also thought all the sets looked great and we're deserving so I would have selected all and thus not really made a difference.

Yes, I know. I still find it hard to believe that there are that many active (real) users on PCF.
I agree that it seems like a bigger number than i would expect as well. However the number of posts that start with "I have been lurking here for 'x' years and have a question" or the number of times I see someone I don't know "dibs" a set of chips. Then when I look at their account and they have like 14 posts makes me wonder how many are out there lurking but not interacting???

I do think that, until you put ALOT of hours into this hobby that it can be confusing, intimidating and overwhelming. Also, let's be honest... dumb questions always get a fair number of snarky replies. I personally love the humorous and smart ass persona of this forum but it can likely be intimidating for newbies to get involved. Tommy can likely give a more educated insight to the activity. I am just blabbering my best guess.

It’s almost as if the company CPC should be more involved lol but just like the older owners they know nothing about marketing lol “yes cpc is great. Very thankful we have them, but they know little about marketing and customer facing retail and more than I’ll ever know about chippin’”

People come for the drama. It’s nothing new, same reason they went to the coliseum. Nobody wants to read about a couple old guys trading a few chips, just like those Roman’s didn’t go to watch picnics. It’s human nature.

If I wanted that, I’d just go over to the Chip Board :wtf:  :ROFLMAO:

I couldn't possibly agree more and a big reason I love this place..lmao. I just know that nothing everyone is wired the same way I am.

All of these sets are amazing --- the color on the wasp's nest is exceptional
They’re my favorite chips I’ve ever seen. Whenever I’m finished college and have enough money to spend on a huge set, mine will probably be based slightly on the Wasp’s Nest design-wise but both winners were incredible too (as they always are).

Can the ones that didnt get in be renominated in a future year? This year was absolutely stacked with epicness.
