Sadly, not anymore beauty through simplicity, like, e.g., in Casino Nacional de Cuba or the Bee or whatever the hell it was called.
Preach.Less than 200 votes for a forum this big is kinda pathetic. There are over 200 member online right now!
If you let me I'll vote more than once lolLess than 200 votes for a forum this big is kinda pathetic. There are over 200 member online right now!
Just shows you how small the hobby is I suppose.Judging from the number of votes, it concerns ever fewer people each year.
About the same amount of voting as the previous year, but I agrees, it does seem difficult to give the HoF vote better visibility. I mean, just in the past 24hr there have been over 900 active members on PCF, so the potential is there.Judging from the number of votes, it concerns ever fewer people each year.
I find this hard to believe.over 900 active members on PCF
I'm just going off of the "recent" info that's on the main page:I find this hard to believe.
Yes, I know. I still find it hard to believe that there are that many active (real) users on PCF.
It would be nice if it was pinned at the top of new posts for period of time. I love seeing everyone’s custom sets and reading about the inspiration. Definitely one of my favorite things to look at on here.About the same amount of voting as the previous year, but I agrees, it does seem difficult to give the HoF vote better visibility. I think increasing visibility will certainly be something the committee can look at for next year. Custom sets really is the pinnacle of this little hobby imo.
I'm a bot tho. So ....Yes, I know. I still find it hard to believe that there are that many active (real) users on PCF.
I agree that it seems like a bigger number than i would expect as well. However the number of posts that start with "I have been lurking here for 'x' years and have a question" or the number of times I see someone I don't know "dibs" a set of chips. Then when I look at their account and they have like 14 posts makes me wonder how many are out there lurking but not interacting???Yes, I know. I still find it hard to believe that there are that many active (real) users on PCF.
This is a good idea.It would be nice if it was pinned at the top of new posts for period of time. I love seeing everyone’s custom sets and reading about the inspiration. Definitely one of my favorite things to look at on here.
People come for the drama. It’s nothing new, same reason they went to the coliseum. Nobody wants to read about a couple old guys trading a few chips, just like those Roman’s didn’t go to watch picnics. It’s human nature. Also, let's be honest... dumb questions always get a fair number of snarky replies. I personally love the humorous and smart ass persona of this forum but it can likely be intimidating for newbies to get involved.
If I wanted that, I’d just go over to the Chip BoardPeople come for the drama. It’s nothing new, same reason they went to the coliseum. Nobody wants to read about a couple old guys trading a few chips, just like those Roman’s didn’t go to watch picnics. It’s human nature.

They’re my favorite chips I’ve ever seen. Whenever I’m finished college and have enough money to spend on a huge set, mine will probably be based slightly on the Wasp’s Nest design-wise but both winners were incredible too (as they always are). All of these sets are amazing --- the color on the wasp's nest is exceptional
AbsolutelyCan the ones that didnt get in be renominated in a future year? This year was absolutely stacked with epicness.
