Again, I know what each word means. Capital Room means (to me) a room in the capital city. And the capitol building appearing on the chip makes sense since it's in the capital city.

I know you know. I was just pointing out what confuses many and actually confuses me as to why they went that direction with the chip. Dual meaning?

I’m actually pleasantly surprised by how the Paymasters are doing. There are a group who just do not like oversized inlays, and those who don’t like ceramics. So a big portion of the base are just never going to vote for them. I told others previously that I thought they might do surprisingly poorly, so to be in the top four against the caliber of competition out there makes me feel good.

I understand some of Bert’s frustration. It’s not that there aren’t newer deserving sets. It’s just that when you see absolutely fantastic older sets like Old Orchard absolutely languish you feel kind of...sad.

But the most important thing is for everyone to vote your heart! There are a lot of stunning sets here so having some disparity is not to be unexpected. The only thing I ask is don’t rush your vote based on a couple of pictures. Go research the sets. See what went into them and what they are about. Find more pictures if you can and let it marinate. Then vote for the ones that speak to you.

Yes let things marinate, like these 50mm $100s for the Capital Room set.

There was only one rack of them created, not accounted for in the OP I believe -

I'm still pissed at chief thief JoshuaDalton about the tourney set I paid for and never got. Those were epic chips. Cocksucker.

There are also $2 chips not listed. They are identical to the $500s accept for the inlay denom.
So there are some problems inherent in nominating group buy chips as a hall of fame set.

Such as...?
Which set are we voting on? The set pictured? Or some other set that includes the cool oversized chips? Or are we basing our vote on every Capital Room chip in existence, pictured or not?

Don't see your point, or any potential butt hurt. They are all from the same set, some more known than others i guess.

Who's butthurt? The Capitol Room just seems like a "One of these things is not like the others." Vote for whatever you want, I guess.

In the big picture scheme of things, none of it really matters. It's merely attempts to pigeon hole and apply labels with implied importance to items that, if truly worthy, don't need it anyway.

Have fun with it if you like, but no sense in getting bunched panties. Just enjoy the pics and stories.

Played on these chips at the Shootout last year, truly an epic set. I covet these chipes, and they are far and away my favorite set nominated in this years HOF voting.

The Capital Room is a phenomenal set and extremely deserving. I’ve been able to get Flipupchip to bring them to the Post twice now to get into play.

The feel of BCC chips is unique and very nice. This was one of the classic bcc sets. Flying Pigs, Lady Lucks, Blue Ridge, MabuhaybSuns, Duy Palace....just off the top of my head. Not a long list, but it makes me sad I didn’t man up and take the risk.

LOVE the Duy Palace, what do we need to do to have them make an appearance at a meatup?

@Chippy McChiperson Dude, I’ve been begging Paulo for a sample set for ages. He and @links_slayer dont give up samples of their cash set to ANYBODY. I’m to the point where bribery is a totally on the table. I’ve even thought about buying into his game and shoving $126.25 worth into my pocket, but I couldn’t do that.

Oh, and I haven’t voted yet either.

My vote could be bought for a sample set of the Bubbs.

Gotta use any leverage to pry any of those chips outta Paulo’s set.

That's unseemly coming from a mod. I, however, have not voted yet, nor am I a mod. Nor seemly.

For whatever's worth (nothing, really), if I were ever to give away samples of Bubbs, they would go to 3 people first: @Jeff , @Chippy McChiperson and @k9dr .

He and @links_slayer dont give up samples of their cash set to ANYBODY.[/USER]

Great minds think alike! :LOL: :LOL:

Dropping over $100 for a sample set is kind of epic though lol
