Hello! Welcome to Oaks & Aces Supper Club! Take off your coat and make yourself comfortable. We strive to provide an experience you won’t soon forget.

To your right you’ll find the bar stocked with a wide variety of liquors and, of course, everything you’ll need for a classic Brandy Old Fashioned (Or whisky for you out of towners). If beers are more your speed, check out what we’ve got on tap or on our rotating list of ciders, beers, and alcoholic waters. We welcome carry ins as well, and never charge a cork fee. If tonight is your night as the Designated Driver, we tip our hat to you and have plenty of options for you as well.

Once you’ve gotten something to quench your thirst, look to your left to see what we have on our menu for the evening. We always serve the finest quality meats and cheeses, and our bread is delivered daily to ensure freshness. Please partake in the a la carte snacks at your leisure. At Oaks & Aces we never judge if you want to eat dessert first either. In fact, you’ll find the dessert selection on the first page of your menu.

Don’t fill up on food and drink too quickly. There’s plenty of entertainment options for you to get your fill. Whether it’s music, movies, or rousing conversation, you’ll find all your tastes can be satisfied here at Oaks & Aces. You’ll find our robust offerings of board games at the back of the room. You’ll find all your favorites, and probably a few new ones to pique your interest if the classics aren’t scratching the itch.

If games of chance and skill are more your speed, you’ll find plenty of options at one of our 4 poker or blackjack tables. While you may be throwing your bankroll on the table, we know how hard you worked to put that together. That’s why Oaks & Aces is Famous for Stakes, not rakes. You’ll never see Oaks & Aces rake the pot for your hard earned money. We ask that you repay this kindness by tipping your dealers. Keep an eye open for our monthly poker tournaments, too! Space can be limited for these events, so talk to your hostess tonight to reserve your seat or you’ll find yourself on the rail before the cards even start to fly.

Now that you’ve gotten the rundown, please make yourself at home. Pull up a chair and make a new friend while catching up with your old pals. Let us know if there’s anything we can do to make your time here better. We’re always looking for ways to improve. Most importantly, we want to say thank you for your patronage. With all the places you could go to relax, you’ve chosen our establishment, and we’re forever grateful. Enjoy!

Pure class - wish I was close enough to come here regularly. Looking to implement the same in Toronto. Hats off to you sir

Question - do you play at your own games or only deal them?

Love the no rake policy - just hoping people tip enough to cover the night’s costs. If you’re also playing then that’s always a good time.

Nice! Good choice on the name decision, custom chips/cloth/or topper in the works??
That and more. Once I get ahold of an idea, I take it as far as it goes. I've got a meeting with my graphic designer on Thursday to get things kickstarted!

I had a professional dealer come in once for our first game after lockdown as a special treat. My crew doesn't really play in casinos much, so I wound up footing the whole bill on that one. No hard feelings at all. Like I said, when I get an idea, I follow it through. It did get me to pick up a Shuffletech though. Way cheaper in the long run!!

First update to the equipment in the club is in the works. Despite no intention for a house set when this project started, the people have demanded it at every turn. And we like to make our patrons happy. I picked up some CSQ from @BamaT8ter that will get milled and filled with labels once the artwork is complete. (Note to self: get on completing artwork and logo)

I’m not sure exactly what colors I’ll use yet, but I love the options, and they feel very 60s/70s supper club to me. If I go with a micro stakes set, I’ll do:

$0.05 orange
$0.25 purple
$1 red or maroon
$5 grey (these look AMAZING in person)
$20 green

If I go more of a traditional breakdown, I’ll do:

$0.25 orange
$1 red or maroon
$5 grey (these look AMAZING in person)
$20 purple
$100 green

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the red Vs maroon option?

And obviously do whatever fits your need but your bank is very healthy either way; need an extra thousand in bank or include nickels? For me at least its easy, get those nickels for tiny games with newbies.

Love the idea and the breakdown, this will be fun.

Did you get a rack of blacks with these? Could use those as the nickel
I did get a rack of black with them, but those are being peeled off for my limit set. I’m a huge fan of color in solids sets, so black and white are never high on my preference list. It’s a big reason why I love the grey so much in this mix.

If I could find another rack+ of matching orange, I probably would flip them to the quarter, but being a few chips short of a rack makes me hesitate to slot them in as a quarter. I like the orange next to the maroon way more than I like the purple/maroon as buddies. I’ll be looking for a second rack of whatever I use as the $0.25 if I do go with the nickel route

That's one of the things I'm waffling on. I've got a few sets that have nickels in them, but we rarely play stakes that small. I'll probably have to try a game or two at these stakes before making a decision

I'm glad to see an overwhelming response for maroon. That was my initial thought, but confirmation is always fun!
