There has been a lot of recent discussions about non-denomination chips, particularly to offer flexibility in stakes when building limit sets (i.e. chips that could play as $1 or $2 depending on the limit stakes).

I’m curious if these chips have “NCV” on the inlay or if there is simply nothing at all in terms of denomination.

Please post your non-denomination chips.

Thanks,

Both exist on the market.
Plain blank or labeled NCV

Thanks all. These examples are very helpful to see. So I can basically go with the inlay design itself and simply remove the denomination.

Exactly.

The No Cash Value chip thing is a leftover from casinos that had other cash-value chips protecting themselves against claims or confusion and complying with local laws. (Some places, it's technically illegal to buy/sell chips between people at cash value or to use them in trade, because then they would be currency, which makes the casino a currency issuer in competition with the US Mint...)

I have 900 of these for my limit set. The “X” will most often be ten cents, but I can use them for anything if the need arises.
