I was bored over the few days before Christmas, I designed an NHL rink cloth design (adobe Illustrator (ai file), which I will use when I am ready to change my Mirage cloth in a few years.
The entire cloth size (80L x 42W) with the rink area itself is 62" long by 26" wide. It is ready to send and print as a sublimation on suitable poker cloth. The logo can be changed to any NHL team Logo, and the steak ad logos can be changed or removed, as can the Sports network logos. I had a similar rink cloth on my previous table with the race track and cup holder on the table, but since i moved my cup holders to the rail that cloth will not work any longer. The table top of my present table is 34" x74 cloth
I have the design with the skate marks over the ice rink (in a bluish tinge, but I prefer the white only ice surface as the logos look nicer and pop. The white cloth shows dirt from chips and cards, but a Bissell Green Machine does a fantistic job to keep the cloth super clean.

If you wanted to put some scallops or dots to represent seats and break up the all red look easy to do. But all that and don’t have the visitor and Zamboni tunnels?

The visitor tunnel at the Bell Centre is across the ice like shown. The visiting players and coaches cross the ice into their tunnel. Many NHL rinks have tunnels at the end of the player benches, but Montreal does not. I initially had the zamboni tunnel but took it out to keep a balance of the seats at the end. It's not a perfect rendition but it works for my design. The option of adding the zamboni tunnel is always available before I get the design printed in the future. It's a work in progress.

I have thought about this for years but never posted. Why not make it the true seating chart?

That is a good concept. One issue however, in order to get the ice surface as the largest middle portion of the cloth, only 7 rows of my seats will be showing as per my design. With the seating chart, it would mostly be cut off all the way around based on a 25" wide betting area and 34" wide cloth leaving 4.5" on the sides and approx 5" on the ends as a place for the poker chips.
I'm sure it would look awesome if proportioned correctly. My rink is still a work in progress. I will post the completed rink with the zamboni tunnel which is now missing. I have different looking seats on my next update. The seats are an actual image from the virtual seating view from the Canadiens ticket site virtual rink.

I’m not even a hockey fan, but I’ve always been fascinated by the rink style layout, like @bsdunbar1 posted - it very cool. So count my vote for the non-seating layout. But either way, that’s fun stuff.

I should do a coaching one. Do the full rink but add the dot line and the house to classify as the betting line. lol

Other ideas I’ve considered is using jersey fabric on the rail. If you do the full rink I would do a raised rail that would be white and have a yellow kick plate.

Here is my finalized design with the seating, Zamboni tunnel with showing Zamboni but blacked out a bit, etc.
Now, I need to decide when the Canadiens are worthy of having them on my Poker table. They are getting closer, but need a few contracts to run out in 2027 to add more grit with some talent and physicality to the lineup... The rink surface is the betting area, the seating a place for the giant chip stacks lol

Beautiful! You said finalized but I think I would add a little bit of shade to the white ice. Doesn't have to be a busy ice pattern, just slightly darker. I would be worried that bright white would show stains/dirt/smudges more. Otherwise I love it, great. Stacks will look fantastic in the seating sections.

Thanks for the feedback. I added skate marks but did not like as much as I thought that I might. I did have a previous hockey rink cloth, all in white. It looked awesome under the lights but it did show dirt more than my current darker Mirage cloth. I do have a Bissell spot cleaner that works quite well.. it would be easy to add a bit of cross shading to the surface. I may play with that a bit before sending it out for printing.

Good stuff. No pressure, I just play with apes so I'm always trying to limit damage lol. But the rink is perfect, go Islanders.

Being a die hard Habs fan for the last 50 years, I think this cloth is awesome. Well done!

Only 2 small changes I would make. Add logos for St.Hubert (Montreal's version of KFC), and La Cage aux Sports (Very cool sport bar).

Probably time for one of our 3d printer vendors to start selling zambonis that store decks of cards or peanuts or something.
Lol..funny you mentioned that. I looked at buying the Tim Horton's hockey card zamboni Holder to store my cards. It was plastered with donut symbols so I would have to make decals to cover most of the Tim Hortons symbols. It was $19.99 , but I see them on eBay for about 3 times that price.

I wasn't even joking. For all the complaining I do about all the accessories, if I had a hockey rink playing surface, I'd 100% need a zamboni.

Thanks. I've been a fan since the year 1965. All those logos are readily available as png files that can be made into vectors in ai program.
I decided to add the restaurants that we frequent here in New Brunswick.
I can see where the Montreal area eateries and bars would be a nice addition.
