While many of us here may not like to admit it, there is just something special about NexGen chips. Yes, they aren't Paulsons, CPCs, or even Tinas, but for the price they offer a unique "softness" and weight that is hard to beat. For me, they were the first chipset I bought and the memory of getting them in the mail and using them for my first home game will always have a special place in my heart.

Unfortunately, finding additional chips in today's market is getting more and more difficult. They have disappeared from retailer websites years ago and now can only be found through the secondary markets (and even then, getting the desired color and quantity is nearly impossible) So, as a result, I thought it would be a good idea to have a centralized place for us NexGen fans to meet, collect, discuss, and post our NexGen related needs. Let's see what ya got!

I'll start:

I currently have a large set of the NexGen Las Vegas chips (I forget what variation of 8XXX these are), but would like to add on a few more non-white to round out the set. My eventual plan is to do a cheap relabel project with them. If anyone has some additional red, blue, yellow, black, or greens that they would be willing to part with, I'd love the chance to work out a deal!

Current set:

White: 820
Yellow: 280
Red: 180
Blue: 120
Black: 19 (although these are different from the rest and don't have the edge diamonds).

Woah, that's the stuff! Did you do the labels yourself?
Yep, ordered from a web site that printed them. Nowhere near Gear quality, but they did the trick.

At one time, this set also had over 1000 white chips.

I have a set (original 8000's) from the early 2000's still, in very good condition. Never labeled them. Gonna sell them off and get some Tinas for starters. 500 red, 500 green, 150 black, 150 purple.
just post some pics

pro classic, I think they come with or without denomination

A local game still plays with the pro classics. I had a rack of the red 8000s once. It was sent to me by another member of HPT and I was blown away by how good the feel was. No label recess though, IIRC.

I am not as impressed with the pro classic, however.

I have about 249 each of these Nexgen 8000, looking to finally pass them on either locally or to the forum, if someone wants them.

Was going to label them, but that project has faded away.

Here is a picture.

looking for feedback about what to do with them, thoughts?

Its funny, I wouldn't sell mine, because I value them at a higher rate than .20.

I bought 2000 reds for a limit game back in 98'
I've since added a few other denoms and plan to label them

I was looking for a rack of black 8002, but jumped on opportunity and thanks to @Stackme bought 1k pieces (500/500) black and green.

Those are my lucky bee's in the bottom photo. Bought new from Straitpokersupplies in approx 2003/4. They are simply too heavy to sell for a value that they are worth when factoring shipping in to equation. That said they are now a rare semi desirable bird in the chipping community.

Here is some Luckybee Pverload
