Hi Chippers, My name is Jim Boyd and I played Professional Poker for 35 years. Now I’ve mostly retired and hopefully can become a good Chipper. My first WSOP was in 1984 and I played 20 years straight and finally slowed down to frequent trips. I’m looking forward to the Forums posts and market place. 👍

I see you have a chip collection, of truly your chips (nice avatar)! Welcome to the party, are you looking for tourney or what type of cash stakes are you playing these days?

Welcome to the community, Jim! That is pretty cool to have your own chip. What kinds of chips are you looking to add to your collection?

2.2.10 PLO at Hollywood Casino 10 minutes from my house. Not many tournaments these days. Too old. 🤠

I have Over 2,000 Paulson chips from my underground Poker Room from 2001 to 2005. My Sheriff lost his re-election and I had to close. 😥. LoL…..it was a good run. Eric Smidinger, the 2022 Seniors WSOP tournament winner cut his teeth at my club. Just a short funny story. I had an indoor putting green at my club and every week I would add $100 to the prize pool if you could sink 10 puts in a row. The putting green was 8 feet long with an uphill ramp at the end before the hole. The prize got up to $800 and David James, a good golfer, paid the guy who won the draw to putt $300 to take his turn. David had putted 30 or 40 in a row many times as he took a break from the games so he thought it was easy money. I agreed with him. He only had to make 3 putts….the first one was a little shaky…the second one barely made it up the ramp but went in…and the third didn’t make it up the ramp. LoL. I guess doing something a nothing is a lot easier when you have money on the line. Sorry for the long post….but it was so funny to watch. Thx. Again for the welcome.

Show us those card room chips (and welcome)!

I love the story! Sounds like fun times and great memories. The chips look awesome as well! Thanks for sharing!
