Started looking for poker chips recently and stumbled on this forum. Ive been reading up about different options for poker chips. Tina hybrids or tina( still not quite sure the difference) seem appealing, but I'm not sure exactly how to order them, design them, get samples, or get a price. I understand the concept of group buys, but I'm not exactly sure how they are organized or how exactly to order them. Any information or direction to other threads discussing this would be great.

Welcome, good helpful people here and tons of great info, enjoy!!! I bought Tina Hybrids a few months back, I was new like you and went nuts. I bought tourney set, cash set and limit cash set I think it was 2,800 chips total oppps this forum is addicting. Lets not even get into the accessories cards, buttons, tables, chairs etc.... Money pit

Welcome! I’m in the similar boat and going down the rabbit hole of custom poker chips :)

Welcome to the forum! This place has all the info you'll need.

Welcome @Madcar! It is a lot to take in. Justin idiot-proofs the process. I ordered a Tina set that should arrive next month.
Start on the current group buy thread: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/chips-web-jester-greek-sun-tangiers-march-2026.139655/ . That also has a link to where you can get samples through him.
You want hybrid over non-hybrid — BELIEVE ME. Check the list of pre-designed sets to see if anything catches your eye: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/hybrid-mold-pre-designed-sets.115859/
For customs ... get with Justin. Based on what my group thinks of the new set coming I may dive into a custom cash set this summer. There's a process for getting Justin the label art, and factor in a label fee (usually $80). But it's super-easy if you know what you want.

Hey, I was also looking at the tina hybrids for my first set since lurking around in here a lot. I discovered I loved the Angry Mallards design but the chips of it you can buy are flat ceramics which isn't something I'm looking for. Is it allowed to use the design of the Mallards for stickers on the Tina's for group buys?
