Hey forum. Nice place here, glad to find you guys. Recently started a regular game with friends here and looking for some ideas on chip upgrades down the road. This forum is a great resource.

I was given a set of coin inlay chips “Jackpot Casino” that I use for now. They’ll do until I find some clays to invest in. (By the way, I could use a few more of these if anyone knows of any that are collecting dust)

Welcome to the Forum! Texas is a big state. Where ya at? I will travel for poker if you're not too far away. And I'm getting ready to build out my own poker room soon and will be hosting regular games, hopefully by the end of the year.

We have lots of active members in the DFW area. Spend a little time here and you'll probably meet some of them.

So what are you interested in for a new set? You mentioned clay. You want Paulsons, custom CPCs, or one of the old school molds?

Do you have a budget yet? If you're not sure exactly what you want, spend some time here before rushing in. Three years ago I came here looking for one or two "cheap" sets of chips. I saw real clay chips at $1 per chip and up (including WAY UP) and thought no way I could ever spend that much on poker chips. Let's just say the old me would have a heart attack if he saw what I have now. And I'm still small potatoes compared to a lot of guys and gals here. It's a crazy hobby, but there are still lots of cool chips to find at prices that aren't too insane. Good luck and don't hesitate to ask questions. Most people here are very willing to help out new chippers.

Ha. Probably great advice for sure. For now I’ll just fill out what I have hopefully. Not picky (yet!)
