Ketchup and Mustard. Just like the Even Stevens $5

Finally got there... Didn’t care for the Ketchup/Mustard combo. I kept thinking “McDonald’s.”
I was also kind of surprised at the weight of these (MD-76bs?) Paulsons. Maybe I’m just too used to my older THCs, but the Resort World chips felt a gram or two lighter than expected, which gave them an almost plastic-y feel.
The poker room was kind of a disappointment, to be honest. While the overall RWCatskills facility is a lot bigger and glitzier than our other Hudson Valley casino (Rivers), and it has a lot more amenities, the poker room feels kind of dismal.
Lots of tables, to be sure. But not a single window to the outside, and a relatively low ceiling... which results in the claustrophobic feeling of being in a some random conference space at an airport.
They made a lot of other peculiar decisions—TVs way too small to be viewed from a distance, garish ’80s-style carpet, and poorly-calibrated lighting. Half my table was in deep shadow, the other half hideously overlit. The screen showing the waiting list is also inexplicably out in the hallway, rather than inside the room itself.
With hope they’ll be tweaking things, and were just in kind of a rush to open.
The dealers were mainly fine, overall. A couple of really good ones, most average, some who were a little slow/unsure of themselves, and only a couple real clunkers, who presumably will either learn or get weeded out. (Had one instance where I tabled my winning hand right in front of me, with my fingers lightly covering their back edges, then had to slam both palms down quickly on them as the dealer tried to sweep them away, thinking another guy won the pot. No tip for you!)
But! I found a $100 chip in my pocket when I got home that I forgot to cash out, so I guess I’ll have to go back in spite of the above.
Here’s the carpet which was giving me flashbacks to 1985:
