Can you grab an extra $1 in good condition for the collection?
Not there currently. I have tinkered with the idea of a trip, as there are some massive (6-digit) poker freerolls happening now as poker rooms are being permanently shuttered and they have to return the money to the players. I will likely head back in the next 6 months though. No guarantees.

Can you elaborate on this? I’m headed to Vegas in January and while I’m saddened to hear poker rooms are closing I’m titillated by the idea of massive freerolls. Just played a few hours of 1-3 at Borgata and would’ve loved a damn freeroll lol

Genuinely good faith question, at the expense of maybe sounding like an a$$hole... is the "oversize inlay" repulsion maybe a generational thing?

I just find that the inlay image running over the raised rim and inset mold stamp can look distracting and sloppy-looking, from a graphic design standpoint.

Mandalay Bay, Excalibur, and Mirage have been "permanently" closed. The Freerolls will be held at the MGM, in November and December. As such, the collected jackpots must be returned. A spokesman has said that the future of the rooms going forward will be "continually evaluated", but they have already moved slot machines into the Mirage poker room. Slots continually make more money than card rooms, so I'm calling it dead for good, unless poker has a second boom.

Mandalay Bays was Nov 3, and they handed out $24,022
The Mirage money will go Nov 17th, to the tune of $69,804
Excalibur's money will go Dec 1st, and will be played for $27,837.

"Tickets" go very quickly, as you would expect. Man Bay and Mirage events have already sold out, but you can still get a chance at the tournament start, as anyone not there 20 minutes before the start of the event will surrender their seat to players waiting at the room.

I can dig up the email if anyone needs more info.

I was shocked to see that Virgin is planning on opening their new hotel/casino at the end of March! I can't believe they remodeled all of Hard Rock in a little over a year.

Anyways, when do new casinos usually get their chips on the Chip and Token Report? I figured something like that would be done many months in advance - but I don't see any mention of them on the latest report.

I'm praying they aren't doing the new 'chipless' casino, I keep seeing the electronic full-size chipless craps tables popping up everywhere.

If I remember correctly, Virgin is running the hotel & Mohegan Sun is running the casino operation. Searching the NGC historical report, there is a $5 GO chip listed under Mohegan Sun, but there is no approval or disapproval date? If they are opening in March, I'd be surprised if their chips are not in Feb's report.

Although their reports are a little "iffy". You can't see it now, but Circa's chips were never in last year's individual July or Sept reports. They are clearly listed in the historical report, however.

Interesting...well I’d put my money on standard RHC.
On the off chance we get some new THC, I already have my birthday trip booked for mid-April with a few buddy’s who would never say no to harvesting!

3 hours after grand opening and we still don't know what chips Virgin is sporting..I gotta know!

Absolutely disgusting.

If you know of any new casinos opening or a casino that just refreshed their chips, please post about it here. Thought it would be a good way to find new chips to harvest if they are worthy enough.
Tommy, I have several casino host that arrange my casino trips. Is there any advice on harvesting seeing that I am going on a poker ♥️ ♦️ ♣️ run in may.

Anyone have any idea of what we will be getting on June 24 from Resorts World Las Vegas?

who makes these and how i do i get a rack?
The quarter are hard to harvest they are only paid out in few card game where you Bet and win on a bonus so you need to win them one by one.

I got about a barrel of them when my Malaysian relatives went to the local casino.

I not sure who make them but you can harvest them at Resort World Sentosa MBS next time when you holiday at SIngapore.

Their $5 are the same series as the frac and $10 chip and above they use this metallic inlay in the middle

Those chips are made by Bourgogne & Grasset, no doubt.
