Hi,

I was doing some searches about Nevada Jacks clay chips and came across this old article : https://www.yogonet.com/internation...t-and-technology-of-hispania-casino-equipment

Basically, it says that Nevada Jacks (the company) acquired back in the time Hispania Casino Equipment company and, with it, the technology to produce clay chips :

Nevada Jacks has purchased « the equipment, molds and dies » and staging process from Hispania for the making of Clay chips.

Was this article true ? Does it mean that @ABC Gifts and Awards (who is now owner of Nevada Jacks) is owner of the technology for the making of Clay chips ?

Kid.

Nevada Jacks sold the Hispania equipment to Palm Gaming (PGI). @ABC Gifts and Awards later bought the Nevada Jacks assets. And when Gene @ABC Gifts and Awards bought the PGI assets after they closed, it included the old Hispania equipment.

So yeah, ABC has ended up with *some* of the items needed to make clay chips, but it's far from a turn-key operation.

Btw, besides owning Nevada Jacks, Jim Evering was the person responsible for bringing the Casablanca Casino Aruba chips to market (among other offerings), and is a former PCF site vendor (@TheChipVault).

Thanks for the comprehensive story @BGinGA !
Really appreciated !

I can imagine indeed that this is far from a « turn-key » operation and that on top of owning the equipment, the expertise to operate it is a must.

And literally everyone is waiting with baited breath for an announcement that there will be a second custom clay manufacturer to provide custom chips to the home market. There's enough demand that it shouldn't hurt the only other game in town.
