Got the idea of a 90s themed set while looking at the old "jazz" design cups that were popular then. I then asked Claude and ChatGPT to create a prompt creating a set of poker chips using 90s art styles and another set based on popular movies from the 90s. As a starting point I thought they gave some cool ideas.

Curious what you remember from the 90s and what you think would go well on a set following these themes. Happy to share the prompt if anyone is interested.

The $10 is the only one I'm struggling with from the top set. It feels "rainbowish" and that era doesn't exactly scream rainbows to me (which I equate to LGBTQ+). Love the rest thought!

The second set...not as much into. Seems forced to me?

Why not go for locations with their logos instead? Central Perk. The max. Soup man?.(soup nazi) etc.

I like the top set. Reminds me of trapper keepers. It’s not 90’s though unless one of your chips is Jordan’s nothing but net sweater pattern.

I thought it was a nod to “the more you know”

It seems to me one of the issues with the theme is to me at least there are two broad 1990s. The early portion which became like a more tame 1980s and the later portion which became a weird hybrid of futurism and throwback at the same time.
