Hi, I just joined this forum. I'm new to forums and home poker games. I am debating between 2 sets, the 500pc Outlaws and this other set i found on Amazon. Personally the outlaws are unique and interesting but they aren't exactly the vibe I'm looking for. The other set i found is the Jiesite Monte Carlos. They are almost exactly what I'm looking for in the style but I worry that they aren't good quality or have bad flashing. Can anyone help? Thank you!

P.s. is Amazon okay to buy chips on? Also im not a huge fan of denominations on chips but the outlaws are cool with me.

Share what your budget and need is and this group will suggest chips that you might like better than the previous options. Don’t get me wrong. Nothing wrong with sluggo chips. My first set was the smooth Monte Carlo chips and I still use them on certain occasions. But there are better chips out there for sometimes just a little bit more money. Depends on your budget and what you need and when you need it.

I am happy to send you some samples of casino chips and some budget chips as well. Free of charge but you must pay for the shipping. This includes some of the tina chips which @Bacon Dad linked. Just let me know.
Oh my gosh I can't believe you would actually do that. That's so insane. I just bought some samples so I will get back to you after they come in. Thank you so much Im at a loss of words.

I gotta say, you guys have been overwhelming helpfull and I'm so thankful. Im at about $100 to $150. I just bought Outlaw Samples, the Jiesite samples and I got Crown Casino Royale Smooth Samples. I think the Royales are my absolute favorite so far, but we will see when they come in.

Welcome to PCF!

One of the first thing many folks regret when they have non-denominated chips is the frequency, even in a group of regulars, with which someone is asking "how much is this one worth again?" It's worse if the colors are not the "standard" casino colors.

A bigger issue would be when you change the value of what one chip is at any point. A "$0.25" chip that gets re-purposed as a "$5" chip in the future could be an issue if someone has pocketed a chip from an earlier game and brought it back after the change.

As much as the appeal of a cleaner inlay without a denomination might be, in the long run it's bound to cause more problems that it's worth.

I already see there have been some good recommendations give to you so far. Take your time, look around and find a set you'll use and enjoy.

Once again, welcome.
