This will hopefully be a semi live TR. Leaving later tonight and arriving in Vegas at 9ish. A co-worker and I are going for two nights. He plays in my home game and wants to give playing in a casino a shot and play bubble craps.

Goals:
1. Win money at poker to cover flight+ hotel+food.
2. Eat at Giordanos, Momofuku and shake shack at some point.

That's it! I'll do my best to keep the pictures going. Unsure what I'll be drinking at the poker tables so feel free to throw suggestions if I'm running bad. With March madness going on, action should be good!

Best bubble craps odds/minimums Casino Royale. They have one machine at the back near the washrooms. Win win!

Thanks all!
Play real craps! More communal

Haha I do when tables are empty. I actually get tilted when the shooter/table is slow. Irrational? Yeah a little bit since I know bubble craps is like 30 seconds between rolls lol.

I don't know how many people are on 2+2 but here's a little BBV.

Brag: Got through customs super quick.
Beat: Customs officer used a "derogatory" term to describe my job
Variance: Said customs officer said it nicely?

Some pre flight wine. I don't know much about wine except that I like dry reds. That is the extent of my wine knowledge lol. This is a Sangiovese 2013. Not as dry as I like but decent!

The odds on the actual craps table at Casino Royal used to be 100x. And I know what you mean about the shooter. It bugs me when people don't know how to throw the dice and fire them straight out like a cannon, knocking over the chip stacks, throwing them off the table every second throw!

This. Totally this. Haha I know it's ridiculous to even get tilted over it but I just do. I really prefer an empty table when playing craps. Bubble craps is a nice alternative to chill with my buddy and bullshit while we drink and play ya know? I'll get him to throw some actual dice if an empty craps table presents itself. He's quite keen on playing poker so who knows how this trip turns out lol

Cromwell has 100x odds as well and the atmosphere inside is nice.

I actually haven't been there. Are there any food recommendations for the Cromwell? The idea of this trip was poker and food but how often do plans stick in Vegas lol.

Ps. We're into glass 3 of pre flight wine.

@mashoo I am sorry we didn't eat there, we were staying at the Aria and just walked up the strip to check out the craps at a few places. It is nice inside for sure more of a boutique type hotel so I assume that they do have at least 1 nice restaurant in there. I was considering a stay there next time, rates don't look too bad.

Wanted to ask, are the odds 3/4/5 or better? I know a lot of the machines are only 2x.

I'm thinking it was 3x and $1 min and you could bet across the board placing .25 on every number. It was a few years ago though. I think Bally's had a 3x machine but it was $3 or $5 min.

One block off the strip is Ellis Island directly behind Bally's. Go in and get a players card and then ask how to get a coupon for the BBQ. Best chicken and ribs. The beer they brew there is good too. Play some craps/bj/slots while you wait and get a beer for the meal. You can get a traveller for the walk back too, just pour your beer into the plastic cups provided at the door before you leave.
