With the horses I now think of this theme as existing in the Red Dead Redemption world. Riding horses, fishin’, gamblin’…good times
 
This is wizardry
Pretty simple in photoshop.

1. Photo a blank chip/solid.
2. Select just the chip, duplicate the layer and desaturate to just grey.
3. Put your chip image/inlay images between, I just draw out the spots and select colors that are close to real life.
4. Play with the overlay settings on the grey mold layer. I usually go with linear light at ~50% opacity. For inlays I might reduce down opacity depending.
5. Profit.

Takes a few minutes for the first chip, but each one after is super straight forward.

Exactly how I do it. I was gonna explain it to everyone, but I didn't know if @Cratty wanted me to give out his secrets.

I'd just screenshot and eye-drop from the color selector from CPC's site. Close enough.. some might need adjusting (e.g. dayglo green, retro red), but most are close.

Playing with the chipmatic studio mockup tool... very cool @QuietMaple ! Did not realize you've improved it this much. Very cool to visualize, and nice that CPC spots are in the mockup (although CPC molds and no watermarks would put it over the top ;) ).

It's at the point that all prospective CPC buyers should emulate their chips in the tool to get a feel for them side by side. Especially because he worked in most of the CPC edge spots, it's so easy for anyone to design their future chips.
