In 2013 Mark Newhouse outlasted 6,343 opponents to make the WSOP main event final table. He eventually finished ninth for $733,224. Incredibly, just a year later Newhouse made the November Nine again, this time beating out 6,674 others to become the first player in the modern era to make back-to-back main event final tables.
