MAN CAVE Pics thread - no stack posts (11 Viewers)

I have been working on the mancave for awhile now. Mostly finished it for the KY Derby party we had yesterday. I have a new custom poker cloth and plan to cover the dealer spot on the table, and a few odds and ends left, but pretty happy with it. Next is to finally dig all my chips out of storage and do a proper photo shoot. The bar is called “The Double Nickel Bar & Casino.”

It’s hard to capture, but my dad was a charter member of the Casino Collectibles Club. I inherited all his memorabilia. I displayed as much as I could (everything on the shelves and walls is casino related) but it’s probably only a 1/4 of his stuff.

PS: Hotdog roller is in the cabinet as I had to clear counter space for the BBQ and food for the party.

Awesome setup

Scrolling through this Man Cave thread as a California resident is peak self-torture. Every post is like, "Look at all this space I have!" Meanwhile, I'm over here trying to figure out if I can fit a mini fridge under the stairs – after I pay thousands of dollars to restructure the cavity under the stairs. FML.

New addition to the collection (traded the Bally 5500 to upgrade to the 6000).

What an amazing setup!

Current set up. Put a lot of work into my garage to make my own little card house, air conditions/heaters, plenty of TV’s just about everything you need! Will move it to my outdoor shop once it’s built!

It gets the job done!

I came back to just oogle at this setup. So many nice touches, all the old casino pics, the family memorabilia, the wet bar with the M&Ms... + fireplace and dogs. Bravo.

First of all, this is unreal. I mean….wow.

Secondly, I hate California.

I’m done now.

This might be the best I seen!! This legit looks like a cool bar that I would spend my Saturday nights drinking beer and playing poker ! Kudos to you seems like a lot of effort and attention to detail went into making this man cave.

I've updated some equipment in the man cave and moved things around so I thought about some updated pictures.

This is my Home Theater in the basement. Last year my 65" Sony died after 5 years of service so I upgraded to a 75" Hisense. This year I've upgraded the Front Towers, and Atmos, and Center Speakers to Klipsch. I am running 2 Klipsch 12" subs. I also added an Emotiva 3 Channel Amp last month to drive the front left, right, and center channel speakers to take some of the load off my Marantz Receiver. I just got on Sunday a new Panasonic 4K Player. What better movie to test the new 4K Player other than Top Gun Maverick. Would you expect any other movie from me? I also have a XBox X, PS4, and Xbox 360, and an Onkyo CD player hooked up.

I have an Octagon Table in the basement, Right now it's folded up off to the side. I can only host about 6-7 players on it. My basement just doesn't have the space for a full size table. The table is in excellent shape I got it for $30 on Market Place. It was on sale on FB for $50 so I offered $30 and they said OK. The great thing is they delivered it to me. I asked them for their address and they asked where I lived. I told them I lived in the next town over and they happened to be visiting friends that afternoon that lived a block away from me and they dropped it off. I have a 96" table I used in my old house and due to space it sits in my Garage wrapped up.

The Picture on the left is my Retro Arcade Stand in the main room. I got the 26" Panasonic off of CL for $25. That TV was built for Retro gaming systems as it has two separate RCA input sets and a COAX connection. I use an RCA Switcher I had from the late 90s and it still works. I have a NES, Sega Genesis, N64, XBox, as well as Atari Flashback, Sony Playstation Classic, and SNES Retro. The pictures on the right are the Arcade room. It was originally my son's playroom in the basement but he never liked going in there because it is in the basement and off to the side of the main room so I decided to make it an Arcade Room. Mostly arcade 1UPs, but the AT Games Legends Ultimate can be customized with a USB stick let you to play thousands upon thousands of games. The last picture is the Super Chexx Pro Bubble Hockey I have. As you can probably tell it is customized for Northeastern University. The opponent is Boston University and all the players are customized with actual players from the 90s. Hence my user name NUHockey. That was Northeastern's best sport Ice Hockey. That is where I fell in love with College Hockey and still follow it to this day.

The bubble hockey is the star of the show.

Me and you both brother !! I first I need to finish my basement that’s step 1 for me

Added some stuff and moved some stuff around since I posted a while back. My man cave is an upstairs loft and one of the bedrooms adjacent so it's kinda split up, but it works well for me to have separate gaming and office spaces.

Got the room back into shape after a few new additions.

Got the lamp and storage shelf off the curb. Table and chairs were free on marketplace. I added two layers of auto trim foam and rail. One day I’ll order enough railing to fit the table.

Now I gotta find a rug!

Looks awesome!! If you ever want to upgrade the chairs to office/desk chairs, I actually have 10 I use for my setup. I'm moving out of Michigan in August, so if you're able to pick them up in Ann Arbor, I'd be happy to let them go for less than what I paid.

Yeah depending on what they look like. I'm sure they are nice. A local restaurant has some gassers I can buy for $12 a piece.

That’s a great price! I just personally like having armrests when I play :)

Mine aren’t uniform, so if matching chairs are important, those Gassers are probably the better option. But my desk chairs are super comfy and I’d be happy to let them go for $30–$40 a chair. You’re welcome to drop by and check them out anytime!

Nice.

It’s tempting to put an area rug down on that cement floor... I have almost done it because one of my older players always complains that his feet are cold. There’s a local liquidator near me which has big, decent-quality bound carpets for about $100. But with players coming in sometimes with wet or even muddy feet, I never pull the trigger. Just one more thing to take care of.

I may just go to a flooring place and see if they have a 2 x 2 rug sample they’d give me for the OMC (Old Man Carpet).
