Hey! I am new here and am interested in getting my first custom cash game set. Low budget for now. Might need help with art/design. Thanks for any help!!

Hi there,

I am new here too! Anyway for the super helpful folks at pcf to help you... would you provide a bit more details? How low is low budget? Price per chip?

what kind of help do you need? Recommendations to custom makers or specifically only with the art/design. If so, do you have a theme or idea you’re going with or a draft we can comment on?

cheers,
Ryan

As always... Get samples
Your budget will propobly swell if you want custom chips.
CPC, Matsui or Sunfly.
Propobly ceramic chips are best option for limited budget and good quality.

You may go cheaper with labels for blanks but as experience teaches you will not be satisfied and end up buying twice

Anyway good luck

Ceramic chips from BRPro Poker is the way to go in order to create fully custom chips within a limited budget.

... With that said, their quality is amazing and I absolutely would not call them budget chips. They are some of my favorite to use.

Definitely order some samples to see if you like the feel and look of a fully custom ceramic chip.

Agree with others that ceramics are your best value for custom chip options. Sign up for the BR Pro emails. They have a few sales per year and combined with volume discounts can equal some decent savings.

I have 2 sets from them. A fully custom limit set and a semi custom DDLM set. I really like both sets. Great quality and even better customer service.

I agree that ceramics are probably what you are looking for. One other option is to find some less expensive clay chips, and re-label. A little more of a project but they would end up having that custom feel, without having to pay the premium for a new set of custom clays.

Welcome to the rabbit hole! Lol
Do your research and if you have any questions just ask. Lots of information and a bit overwhelming at first but you will be chip nerd like us in no time.
The card mold will probably be your best bet for price. I have a 43mm sample set you can handle but not a 39mm ( normal size) set. Ill bring those by and let you see them when mine come in from that slow boat from China.
You can always think about slowly building a home casino set

one of the cheaper casino sets atm.

Low budget custom...

For 30c per chip you can get blank china clays (milanos, majestics)...

For 15c per chip you can get some blank 14g claysmith chips...

Then go to onlinelabels.com, buy some vinyl labels, create a design, and customize.
