This gives you a total bank of $2,206.25.I am thinking of doing a group order for 500 chips
- $0.25 chips: 125
- $1 chips: 175
- $5 chips: 150
- $25 chips: 50
I could do more than 500 I just need to find a case. This gives you a total bank of $2,206.25.
You said you want your set to be able to support 8 players up to 1/2, but this is barely even enough for 8 players to buy in for 100 big blinds at those stakes.
You likely won’t need more than 100 25-cent chips. If 500 chips is a hard cap for you I would do something like:
25c - 100
1 - 100
5 - 200
25 - 75
10 - 25
With 8 max, might only need 50-60 0.5s and be fineIf you switch between 0.25/0.5 and 0.5/1 you could get 0.5 as your frac and play 0.5/0.5 when you do the lower stakes, should be able to get away with less chips that way if that’s the goal
Standard birdcage will hold 600 and most of the "500" chip cases actually hold 600+.I could do more than 500 I just need to find a case.

I'd look into the new Olympus china clays at the Poker Store. They really seem like a huge steal for the price. Basically a 50c chip for 35c. I'm tempted to get one for myself.
Its just home games, I trust my boys. You can't have fracs and a bank large enough for $1/2 at the same time on 500 chips, you're running up against some difficult math. 100/150/150/75/25 is maybe the best way to spend 500 chips but you're stretched really thin and still short on bank. But you can get larger quantities of Olympus chips in your budget, 800 might be the sweet spot:
100x .25
200x 1
300x 5
150x 25
50x 100
800 chips, 10k+ bank.
Edit: although I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable putting $10k on the table in chips that your players could buy retail off-the-shelf.
I've been looking at these for my first cash set for low denom home games. I really like the colorway and design. I'm thinking of getting some samples.I'd look into the new Olympus china clays at the Poker Store. They really seem like a huge steal for the price. Basically a 50c chip for 35c.
