I am in the process of putting together another limit set slowly but this idea keeps floating around in my head and I’d honestly like some feedback.

The idea is to acquire a rack or two of $1s from different properties on the strip and put them into play at the same time. At the buy in they can pick whichever casino they want to use.

It would be “neat” to see who has taken who’s chips as the game progresses. The part holding me back is my OCD tendencies and having all sorts of mismatched chips stacked together. I do have a rack of FHC 25s for rebuys so there wouldn’t be any issue with a higher denomination getting accidentally mixed in an already filthy stack.

Anyways, not a serious topic but would love to hear what you all think.

This has been done with different quarters

Definitely a fun idea :)

How many times have you put it into play, and what are your thoughts at this point?
Skittles have been in play a half dozen times (this group has only played live once since covid). It's one of my favorite sets, it looks and plays great, lots of fun. The limit portion has only seen the felt a couple of times, but it plays the same as skittles and most folks get a kick out of checking out all the different casinos.

I have a Dirty Stack $1 set where I get 2-3 racks from various casinos. I do have a couple qualifiers.

1. Paulsons only
2. Need to have spots
3. Must have inlays

There are exceptions for great standouts.

It’s never seen play, but it should be fun for chippers.

With the rise in chip costs, I was thinking of shifting and designing my own mixed set to get some color on the table. The casino comment is cool, and not something I could replicate when building my own. Appreciate the update.

I kinda like this idea, but I would add another qualifier and that is all white base or all blue base.

I played in a game like this recently with PCFers, with each player starting with a unique rack. Mostly house molds, but maybe a rack of RHCs too. Anyway, once the games gets going, I couldn’t care less what mix of chips is in my stack, I just want more.

I have a lot of samples and shuffle stacks, odd barrels, partial racks, etc... - chips that are fun/cool/interesting/pretty but don't make up a set. I hate the thought that they'll never see play.

Enter "Every Chip's A Dollar" night! Doesn't matter what color they are, what numbers they have, or even what they're made out of. Throw them all in a giant mismatched heap. Every chip's a dollar!

Plaques are twenties and hundreds.

(I haven't actually done this yet, but I want to!)
