Limit Holdem 2/4 - Setup and Advice (1 Viewer)

You need to respond to my PMs and return my property to me, please.

What happened to "And I don't think it would be the best or most courteous to this forum that I start sniping his posts on the forums... "?

1. No, he doesn't "need" to respond to your pms.

2. Dave, it would be nice if you'd please return this guy's chips and save us all the agony of seeing that disturbing avatar all the time. I'll be glad to reimburse you for the postage if that's the problem. Thanks.

How the hell do you figure that? Yes, he does. He's holding my chips, refusing to communicate with me and ignoring all inquiries from anyone regarding this. If people want to defend someone who at this point is basically a petty thief, feel free.

What else am I gonna do at this point anyway? See if I can get authorities involved in getting back property in which the value isn't even worth small claims court? But it is still my property and this guy has basically proven he's without decency at this point. Can we at least admit that? I mean, who does something like this and who could actually defend it?

No idea about a home game...but when I played in casinos it went 1/2 for blinds. Then 2, 4, 4. I think they let 3 raises happen before it ends. Or something like the largest raise can only get to $16.

Personally, I preferred 2/4/6 for limit just cause it was easy to remember what the betting was each round. Rather than going "crap forgot it was 4." Sadly most places don't do 2/4/6 much anymore

In hold'em, and most flop and draw games these days, there are 4 betting rounds. Not sure how 2/4/6 works.

There is a local limit game around here that I can't even get an invite to that is 5/10/20/40. But that structure is uncommon.

2/2/4/4 has been the standard in limit poker with 4 betting rounds for a long time.

2/4/6 is easy...2 pre flop. 2 post flop. 4 turn. 6 river. But it appears as though at casinos in my area that 3/6 is taking it over, with 2/4 still being the most common

I have never in my life seen this 2/4/6 structure. 2/2/4/8 would make more sense to me. What place and what years was this 2/4/6 game common.

Atlantic City still uses it although like I said it's being taken over most by 3/6 limit. When I first started going there, 2/4/6 was the most common limit game. Now it's 2/4 and 3/6 limit mostly
