This is a long shot as I'm not sure how many Malaysian PCF members are here (or those who know Msian Law well enough to comment). Singaporean PCF members are welcome to reply as I would like to hear about the legality in SG as well.

I am aware commercial (non-casino) poker chips - striped dice, china clay, ceramics etc - are available for sale locally. And I've imported chips from Apache into Msia before (with a hefty 30% or more tax & duties as these are classified as parlour items). So that part is clear to me.

But what about actual casino chips - those sold freely here (PCF), usually from closed down casinos? Are they leggit in Msia? Does anyone know?

Updating above to put emphasis that "sold freely here" refers to "PCF" not Malaysia. :p

For context, gambling is largely prohibited here in Malaysia except in legalised casino of which we've only one ie Genting Highlands.

I’m not a lawyer, and I ship chips worldwide.

As long as the tariff code is the same, then probably you’ll pay same import duties for home game chips vs real casino used chips.

Used casino chips are sold worldwide? I’m no expert about Malaysia but I’ve seen Gemnting RM 1 or something once in a while sold from Malaysia on eBay.
