I’ve sorted my Elsinore $5s… there is a bit of a color variation. I have 132 “canary yellow” and 168 “regular yellow.”

The canaries in general seem to be in nicer shape. Looking to trade/buy to fill out the canary rack (I need 68). I’m not opposed to filling out the regular rack, but that is my second preference.

Canaries are on the left in the pics below… picking up the color difference is difficult in the photos.

Do you feel this is an actual difference in the color of clay used when they were made? Or possibly if the "non canary" chips are more worn, that it's just due to age and fading? Seems odd that Paulson would intentionally use a different color to make a new run of chips for an existing customer.

that's what i initially thought but the more worn ones are the 'canary' color which is the less vibrant of the two. i'd expect the more worn ones to be the more faded if it was from use. not sure though and looking forward to my shipment so i can view it in person / not be talking out of my ass.

Agree. My package is currently stuck in the LA USPS acceptance loop. Can take anywhere from a day to two weeks in my experience.

My last package flew through, so maybe I will have to wait on this one.

Pretty sure he said the canaries were the ones in better shape, which is why I put that out.

It was brought to my attention that the Paulson "Canary" color is actually darker than the "Yellow" color... as evidenced in this post:

I don't think that has caused anyone confusion... I am still interested in the lighter yellow variety. I am hopeful as a few more people get their chips and have the chance to sort them, we can work out a deal.
