I just bought a really nice set of 800 Matsui's from @AK Chip.
The set has 50c chips, $1s of course and 165 $2s which I'm not sure what to do with.
I thought maybe I could relabel some of them as either $10's $20s or 25c chips.

The inlays appear to be removable.
I have exactly 800 chips so I don't want to ruin one and mess up a rack.
Has anyone ever attempted to remove the inlay on a Matsui chip?
Anyone have any spares laying around and want to try an experiment?

The hard lamination / piece of plastic can be easily cut into and removed. It tends to leave the thin artwork sticker behind though, and it's glued on pretty tight. Removing the sticker and any glue residue would be your biggest headache, but still very doable. The metal insert has a hole in it, which you may or may not want to fill depending how thin your new labels are.

This is great. Thanks for sacrificing the Zen chip:)

It looks like there is plenty of recess to take a laminated label. And that would help cover over the hole in the middle and and
slight glue residue.
I think it might be worth the effort!
I'll post some pics when its all done.
