This is awesome - keeping a close eye on this one. Love the inlay/label idea, seems like it would look so good on the Jester mold!

Apostrophe's good.

Alright, well... good for the night here.

Edit... oops... yep, forgot the $100 and mislabeled the 5k... lets try again.

Looks awesome Cratty (aside from the hondo and $5k omissions hahaha)!! Yet another Cratty design I’ll need to buy now.

If you need another chip an NCV never hurts :)

even though i can see they are not when i blow them up, the "1" in the "1000" the "5" in the "5000" and the 2 in the "25000" appear to extend a tiny bit farther down than the rest of the numbers in the denomination. i don't know if it's an optical illusion, or maybe a resolution thing?

Yeah, think just a compression artifact

I know it’s true to the original design but I think I’d prefer the denoms to be a little bigger for legibility. Also I’d prefer the $25 be “$ 25 $” like on the original.

Super nitpicky but I also prefer the “$” to be sans serif like the original too. Just a personal preference.

Great job as always!

Coming back to this - In summary:
  • Agree the denom symbol font needs to be adjusted.. I am not in love with the current either. But do like the Serif, so here's the new:

    1748897471583.png
  • Updated the $25 denom (and $20) to $X$
  • Also agree with a larger larger font... the fonts shown are actually larger than the original Kings Castle, but if I go too much larger, Tina will likely just reduce other proportions for sake of inlay margin (which they'll likely do anyway). So trying to balance that.
That all said, I'm not updating the mockup except for the $25$, as I'm too lazy and the detail that small is tough to discern anyway. BUT all inlay files are already updated. ha

When I was doing a replica set, the typeface I found closest to the original for the denom was DIN 1451 Condensed (Engschrift), but it's not quite exact:

Yeah, those look good too! I went with High Tower Text (for the symbol that is, albeit stretched vertically), felt like it got pretty close and also liked the slight angle (feels a bit more hand-written). But my gut says print quality at this size will be imperfect anyway, so refinement at this point would be mostly lost.. but did debate just making my own font, ha.

Thanks for making these available in the next GB Cratty!! I'm torn between hoping that you'll keep designing all of these awesome sets for the community, and begging you to stop before my fiancee looks at my cash outflows and starts thinking about her life choices...

Excited to see how these turn out on the new Jester molds :) Thanks again!
