Playing around with a potential design for the Jesters Mold/Tinas. Not that I need any more chips.. ha.

No breasts (can't figure out a good way to work in... maybe a NCV chip.. ha).. but did feel like the background was empty, so added in the royals. Think I like this.. V2

Ha, well.. not that that would be out of character... but might as well tweak the colors a bit anyway to separate out the jester a bit more.

I don't know why every time I think of an inlay for that mold my vision goes to a 'dark' Jester's Club

Haven't decided on cash or tourney yet, so mocked-up the total lineup.

Think I like the more traditional/tribute spots (although went 312 vs solids for 1/frac):

But also like the concept of tri-moons (or half circles) to lean into the jester/ball juggling:

I also don't need another CPC set, let alone another Scrown homage CPC set.. but do think these would be fun. Ha.. thank goodness ordering isn't open currently.

These are great. Love the TRK kings castle but those are unobtainium. I’d likely buy a set.

Really nice Kings Castle tribute/inspired art. Would really be nice on a CPC smcrown when orders open up. Shame to see it wasted on a Tina but it is what it is.

These are great. Love the TRK kings castle but those are unobtainium. I’d likely buy a set.

A really large Kings Castle set sold here within the last couple of months, they do come up, always loved the look of those sets.

I’m personally not a fan of bright white inlays, especially on a set that feels vintage. Have you considered some type of off white/tan or weathered look?

Good call out... changed to a slight beige color vs the bright white. Less drastic, but used the same colors from my Dunes set that I think looks about right for an older set.

May not be super noticeable, but definitely can tell in person that it better mimics the decades old chips I have.

Mock-up (Tina vs CPC). Agree that it's just calling for me to do a CPC set instead. ha... unfortunately just can't justify another set.

And yeah, will need to take a second look at edge-spots if there's a way I can separate more... have a few thoughts I'll try out tonight.

Hmmm different mold and different inlay may be enough and you can keep the edge spots the same (I’m the tribute police).

Yeah yeah.. the queen was remade from the original, but maybe I continue the story instead and make the voluptuous lady the new queen and push the old out.

I retraced the original art and cleaned it up to vector if you could use any part of it, just let me know.

Just a thought, if you want the small crown mold to keep it as a true tribute, rather than waiting for CPC, there may be a place where you could go and have the "cap dash" mold used on Tina chips... just sayin...

Updated - swapped out the old queen with the new. Like this and the potential continuity with the Kings Castle inlay.

And yeah, know cap-dashes are a thing, and nothing against them but wanted to do something for the Jesters Mold.

@Cratty I love what you’re doing matching the theme to a mold. It’s not often that union exists and hats off for finding that connection.

In 2013 I had a similar idea with the China clay ‘tower and spear’ mold but opted for a full on replica of the King’s Castle design.

Your creativity is a gift and I always look forward to your posts.
