Here’s a before-cleaning pic of the three racks, sorted. The Nearly new ones are the middle rack, with two racks of Used on either side.

I think you had some run good with this lot. Congrats! Seems like a higher % of great condition chips, compared to others I've talked with.

They’re fantastic. Occasional rack checks, scuffs, smears, and flea bites but otherwise nearly indistinguishable from new.

I wasn’t so lucky with the used $1s. I’d say 1:5 “excellent” condition to “good”. A few have solid divots.

I think they vary a lot. I got one rack that dirtier than the ones on the left. Most looked like the rack on the right. My "mintish" ratio was more like 1:4.

My 1s were 1:7 (vgc to used)

I just noticed the $1 white and $2.50 pink chips are THC chips. The rest are RHC chips. Do casino's normally mix their sets like this?

What is the reason that more tournament sets don't have edge spots vs. cash sets?

I would imagine it is another way for there to an easy distinguishing factor between NCV and cash sets.

Matthew imagined correct, I used to work in a casino and was told they want them basic as possible but also some casino’s like Venetian have edge spots on their tourneys like the deep stack.... god I want those chips....
