Apparently this place had a blackjack table only. And quarters. If the house owes you 3 to 2 on your $1.25 blackjack bet, they owe you $1.875. One of these, a quarter, a fifty-cent, and a dollar later, you're paid.
 
There’s definitely somebody on here who uses a chip of that value. Maybe one of the southern guys. Does he call it his two-bit set?
That has been a custom thought of mine for a while. "Two Bit Cardroom", One Bit/Two Bit Night, etc. It makes stakes more micro than .25/.25, and is far more interesting/less tedious than .10/.20 or .05/.10.
