Let’s be honest here.

Let’s say magically in 2 years someone stole the secret recipes and they could now do real clay chips with real Paulson or TRK colors and make chips indistinguishable from their originals for say CPC prices.

No one here would order Mapes? Lakeshores? Giraffes? On the other hand, while I’ve always maintained I don’t care, im not gonna lie I’d be quite sad if I saw my same chip sets now available in lesser forms. It would definitely kill the collecting aspect of the hobby for me.

I think the hate would be severely diminished if the majority of these sets could come up with an original fucking idea instead of copying live casino chips or someone else's work. Apparently that's asking a lot or is akin to splitting the atom for most of PCF. But whatever, the ship has sailed already. No sense doing much besides having fun with the chaos of it all.

At least Justin is doing things right though. Cratty designs are a breath of fresh air too.

This.... If someone could make chips that have an original idea that would make things a lot better.

I get people love these live casino chips and all, but making something like this could cause trouble like the cards mold Aria $500 did a few months ago.

I've seen people use the live casino colors and spots, but making their own artwork which I think is fine. Enjoy the scheme, not the whole chip

I don’t care a ton, but your comment will and should get met with nothing but derision.

There are thousands of Facebook, OfferUp, etc. listings every day that people see and go hmmmm wonder what those are. Plastics? THCs? Etc. So no, without clear photos not everyone would know what these are. Not to mention Tina has not been long lived and we’re on concept #48. In ten years, it’s going to be difficult anywhere but here to ascertain what’s what.

All the copying hilariously very specifically affects…this group and singles collectors. There’s not much other groups of collectors in this niche hobby, and you’re generally copying designs that are no longer printed, so hilariously the people most affected are….here.

Lastly as now mentioned by me and several others, the closer they can get to current chips the more demand they’ll have the more money they can make/charge. Which is great except for the fact that if they do indeed make a truly passable copy, it seems like that would officially spell the end for live gaming thcs/rhcs.

The good news, with casinos going all electronic, GPI back in the personal market.
