Is this Hyperbole or not? (6 Viewers)

I highlighted the best parts of your reply here. I appreciate someone with a good sense of humour.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but lots of domestic goods are produced with foreign made parts contained within them.
We got it. You are very concerned about our ability to gamble unhampered.

But what else? I’ll ask again, what’s your end game here? Pitchforks? Discussion? ( I’ll give you a life tip, if you want to discuss things don’t insult the people you are discussing with).

What are you looking for out of this thread?

Change is coming chicken little, it is as inevitable as the sun rising.

Well, at first I was genuinely trying to understand the philosophy and actual impact of the new tax. Then a group of people seemed like they want to downplay the new tax, or that people should just "do something else". Then I started getting no replies and just images from you of meme shitposts. So here we are.

Hmmm kinda sounds like a big hullabaloo about nothing doesn’t it?
How’s the weather where you are? I’m in Japan right now, buying tax free clothes, playing cards, electronics, and shoes, and it’s hotter than hell here. Rained last night though, so maybe that will cool it off some today.
Speaking that, do you think some form of global warming is going to affect our gambling in the future?

I kinda take the opposite perspective. For everybody who says there are bigger problems in the world, what do YOU want out of this thread?
Maybe take those concerns to the tariffs thread or the flood thread or the global warming thread.

Haha have you ever read any of my posts? I just like to shoot the shit, like at a poker table.

Here’s what I get out of this thread and any of the others you mention - nobody knows shit about it. So my rambling posts about stupid shit mean just as much as anyone’s else here.

If this is going to hurt gambling then casinos will notice. And then they will change something to bring their revenues back up.

Prohibition didn’t stop anything. It just changed how people got their hootch. People, society’s, governments, corporations they all adapt to whatever conditions come along.

As a scandi paying ~40% tax on my income as well 25% sales tax I find this discussion adoring. :ROFLMAO:

[...]
What we’re seeing here is the equivalent of workers who make minimum wage getting outraged on behalf of billionaires when the wealthy might pay a little more. A most American phenomenon, which looks bonkers to the rest of the world.

Oh God, so much this! You Americans with your 1% tax for billionairs, anti-union, anti-health care, anti-vacation, etc is so Opposite-Land to me. "Well, when I become billionaire I want these benefits as well!".

Could we have kippers for breakfast
Mummy dear, Mummy dear
They got to have 'em in Texas
Cos everyone's a millionaire

I just wish I lived in one of those country’s where there were no taxes, or the ones they had were well thought out and received by the populace with glee.
